We have two potential classics over this side of the pond tonight. Sadly, I think both fights could start at the same time (Klitschko v Peter around same time too ureal).
1) Kiko Martinez v Arsen Martirosyan (Dublin, Ireland). I will try find a link for this fight. This fight has all the makings of a classic. To me this is a 50/50 and will be very close. I know Kiko can bang, but if Martirosyan can survive the early round(s) storm (and there will be one) he has a massive chance. Rendell Munroe showed Kiko is just a banger and can easily be outboxed. I think Martirosyan's style is all wrong for Martinez and I find the +200 on display too tempting to turn down in what should be a close fight. I think Martinez is getting way too much respect here and I think the +200 is one of the better dog bets out there this weekend. This is a 50/50 as you will see, so to get that value is very nice indeed..
2) Steve Molitor v Jason Booth. I think Molitor is different class to Booth. The worry here is that he puts on a boxing clinic and Booth is dismantled inside 8 rounds. Jason Booth is a real life Rocky Balboa. This is his last chance and I have a funny feeling he is going to have the fight of his life. The over 9.5 is -330 and that is as safe as houses in my opinion for the big hitters. Molitor can't bang so if he wins it will be by wearing Booth down and stopping him late. Booth will go out on his shield. If there is an upset, it will be a hard fought points win, I just can't see Booth KO ing Molitor.
I could unload on the -330 on the over as I feel its a very safe bet but I am in no mood to sweat tonight. I think the fight will be close then most people think and I see Molitor winning by 115-113 or something like that or even a split decision. Of course, I would not be surprised to see Booth outclassed so I can't invest with any amount of confidence.
Plays for tonight..
1) Wlad to KO Peter @ -175
2) Arsen Martirosyan to beat Kiko Martinez @ +200
3) Steve Molitor to win in rounds 10-12 @ +700 and Jason Booth to win on points @+400.
The last bet I am betting with my heart and I have a feeling I'd rather have the +400 on the hometown fighter in a close fight then the evens on offer for Molitor points.
Not much invested, hope for a little profit..Good Luck Guys
