Super 6 Semi Finals

I have Ward +1000 (posted on this site) pre tourney so I am sitting really pretty on that. I think it will be Ward v Froch final.

1) Ward v AA. I don't see how Aurthur Abraham can win this fight. He is going to be down 5 rounds to 0 going into round 6. I think Ward is far too clever to get caught with a big Abraham shot. This looks VERY like Ward on points. Incredibly that result is close to -300 so the books are onto it. To me this is a no play but if I had to bet I would take a gamble on Ward KO/TKO/DQ at +275. If you have noticed AA's last 2 fights. He got DQ'd when he was behind against Dirrell and then he threw an elbow against Froch when the fight was slipping away from him. I know he had a tune up fight but late on in this fight, this will be 3 beatdowns in a row against top quality Super middleweights and I think AA could have some sort of meltdown. To be honest not a fight to get heavily involved in. I got a hunch something really conterversial is going to happen here, so I can't take Ward on points at those odds..

2) Froch v Johnson. I think this will be a great fight. I think Johnson will do what AA couldn't and bring Froch into the trenches. I think Froch wins a VERY close decision. You can get the Froch decision at evens which REALLY does tempt me. Right now Johnson is +275 and I find it hard to resist taking a nibble at that. I think Glen goes very close here. I will decide closer to fight time, whether to bet with my heart or my head.

Head = Froch Decision @evens

Heart = Road warrior @ +275

Hey Mack good write up, Ward on the handicap pts is -300? Or is that by decision?

I feel Ward will break down Abraham TKO is VERY strong possibility. Abraham has been exposed by LESSER boxers blue print is out on him.  I can see Abraham getting DQ'd here also, he will look  for a way out. I don't trust him as a fighter it's why the pts handicap is great (dq wins too)

I seen his past few fights Abraham was sucking for air by round 9 in the past two-three fights. This was against guys who aren't as talented as Ward.

I guess only question would does Abraham even have enough to get "lucky"?  With Dirrell we knew Andre could break down late and cave in mentally.

Froch many thought would come in reckless and give Abraham a shot at a ko. Problem is I don't see Abraham as a power puncher at 168.

I would love to see the line on Ward by pts handicap,(not a decision) (ko,tko,dq) wins too.. can't see Abraham winning a round unless he gets a ko/knockdown.

I won't even get into the Froch fight, I love Glenn Johnson as a fighter we know he gives 1000% percent. I see Froch is giving him a TON of respect, which I've never seen him do before.

I will like to see how Johnson looks at  the weigh in, asking a guy who came in most of his career at 175 to drop down to 168 is a lot to ask (Okay against Allan Green but Froch is different).

As of right now I would take the fight to GO the distance, Froch showing the respect for Johnson, and Johnson nearing the end of his career (I know we keep saying that but he will retire eventually).

I think it will be a good fight, Froch with sneaky power but lately I've seen Glen Johnson use his jab not just one at a time double and tripling it up.. because it buys him time also allows him to get on the inside.

Hand speed goes to Froch, and I believe that is the major reason Froch will pull off a tough decision.

Can you believe showtime is going to air the replay of Pac/Mosley some fights should be left in the video room, this should be one of them!

Ward ITD is +360 on 5d, with all the possibilities of head butts, dq's, a possible AA bomb, and what not I think that is a very good possibility.. GL guys

Simply put I would not be surprised to see Ward win by technical decision at some point being that he should win the majority of early rounds with ease...

I cant wait for this fight, I think it will be fun. The only thing that can make it boring would be AWard, because he may play it cautious due to AA's power.

what was the opening line for this fight? It is down to Ward -470, i thought he opened at -600

BetUS opened it at -700...put it in a parlay with Rampage over Hammil and Frank Mir over the fat country guy....

that line drop is a tad fishy... hmmmmmm
