Taylor vs. Soliman on Wednesday

I enjoy watching boxing and wagering on the sport from time to time. I'm far from an expert. Talked to a buddy who works in the industry and he had this to say about Wednesday's fight between Jermain Taylor against Sam Soliman:

Taylor shouldn’t win, but he is going to have a SUBSTANTIAL advantage politically. He’s fighting close to home against a 40-year-old from Australia. He has the most crooked and powerful manager (Al Haymon) in the sport. If he wins, it means a lot of money for a lot of people because they can sell his name. So unless he gets KOed (and Soliman has no power), he has a great chance to win a controversial decision.

Looked at the odds yesterday saw Soliman at -350. Down to -300 today.

280 now at 5Dimes. If it looks too easy it probably is. Taylor will be watched closely for taking too many shots and he might get lucky himself with a power shot. This one has  ITD  written all over it and plus odds to boot.  GL

This is like a totally compelling fight.. I love Jermaine.. I don&#x27;t want to see him take any unduly punishment.. &#xD;&#xA;I will be rooting for him for sure..

The first six rounds were pretty tight. I actually had it 3-3.  Would&#x27;ve been interested to see what the cards looked like.  From there, the Soliman injury really helped.  Happy to cash this one.

i had an action play on jt and was surprised by the scores as i thought taylor would be getting all the close rounds. he won by 7, 6 and 5 points. even if you push rounds 10 and 12 he is up 8 points from rounds 7-12.jt was down on the cards going into the 7th round by 1, 2 and three points as i cant see the judges giving soliman both rounds 10 and 12.like yourself, i had the fight even after 6 roundslooks to me like we might have lost without the knee injury

I was glad to cash the ticket in probably the ugliest fight I watched in a long time. The reason I even bet the fight was the 41 year old factor which came about. The 41 year old leg was the ticket...

Lets be real Soliman was easily on his way to win an ugly decision.  He was dictating the tempo of the fight big time, and had just won 3-4 straight rounds.  Taylor looked awful lol what a bad time in boxing when a washed up fighter with just a jab straight right hand l as his only move beats a crippled 40 year old for a belt.
