2006 Results (March-July): +19.2 units (+$1,920)

It feels good to be on the world wide web again from home. I don't know if any of you are unlucky enough have Charter Communications as your internet provider, but if you do just hope that your internet doesn't go out. It went out last Tuesday and I was finally able to meet the repair guy today to get it back on; had to take half a day off of work just to meet the guy during the rediculous 6 hour window they give you. They were supposed to come on Saturday, but that didn't happen. Non-work sites are a no-no at my job (especially gambling ones) so it feels good to be tapped into the scene again.
Looks like most had great weeks last week. Awesome job Hak especially. The only action I had before the crash was a $50 Cotto by 12rd decision bet along with $50 on Marg ITD. So I pocketed a bit. My gut was that Cotto would out-box him, but wow was Margarito relentless.
Down on a couple of plays so far.
1 unit on under 9.5 rounds in Lujan-JLC (+150) .25 of a unit on JLC ITD (+638) Tonight's WNF main event is pretty darn intriguing, at least JLC made
weight for once even if it is at 147. I like the under with a bit on
JLC inside as wide as that is also. Cuts could play a factor tonight
or maybe there is some residual damage left over from the Marg fight
and Lujan's ear will actually fall off this time, lol.
.50 of a unit on under 2.5 rounds in Davis-Abregu (+155) The string bean Davis may pull a Holt on the unproven Abregu, but I have a feeling Abregu catches the easy to hit long neck very early. The line reminds me a lot of the Minto one a few weeks back.

Yep, that was almost Minto part deuce. Time for JLC to hang them up, too bad he still has his whiskers. That was a bomb of a right hand that Lujan landed in the 8th and it really didn't faze him. I thought if JLC lost because of being shot it would be on his back or by corner retirement, I'm surprised that he was able to hang in there for 10 rounds with as much as he was taking.

Hey FB! Glad you go your internet up and running. Nothing worse than those crazy windows they give you when it's down. So frustrating.
GL this weekend. Taking a little break here. Leaning towards Smith tonight though. Any thoughts on Darchinyan? Looking at all of those Judah-Clottey props too.

Got 2 units on a Stevenson Under 9.5, Smith Over 9.5, Peterson Over 9.5 parlay. Bonsante's got heart, and Stevenson might have butterflies, but the power and size deficit should be massive here.
Nobody likes Kirilov at 2-1 odds?

Smith was the right lean, I'm just glad the judges got it right.
For me it all depends on if Dimitri can take Vic's left hand well. If he can he has a very good chance to win. Vic is sloppy and is easy to hit cleanly because of it. I still wonder how much that Donaire loss affected him. Even though I thought he won over Gorres that still wasn't the same Vic that we saw pre-Donaire. I was banking on Kirilov's chin holding up in a close distance fight, hence the over play in my parlay. I had to go ahead and hedge though with Vic ITD in something since it's the last leg though; a double cash could be possible with this also.
As far as the Clottey fight goes, I just don't think Zab will be able to pull it off. Yeah, he has got talent, but his time has passed now I think. He has looked very rough post-Cotto. He even looked bad in spots against that Midwestern club fighter last time out and was staggered for a moment. They showed it on CSS a while back here and that convinced me that he was done. It's weird because it would really surprise me if he won, yet at the same time it almost wouldn't because it's Zab and the ability is still there.

Weird ending in the Bonsante fight uh? He only has himself to blame, that was a joke. You can't lay there like you are unconscious with your eyes closed and expect for the fight not to be waved off. If anything it's a medical issue when a ref thinks that you are out cold and will need to bring in attention immediately. Good luck on the Peterson over, just as long as a Peterson wins for me.

.80 of a unit to win 2.25 Stevenson ITD (-259) Smith (-125) Over 9.5 in Kirilov-Vic (-190) .20 of a unit on the Draw in Smith-Wolak (+1500)
More plays....
.70 of a unit to win 1.48 Vic ITD (+142) Peterson (-1100) Dirrell -15.5 Points Handicap (-550) Had to hedge the parlay, I don't think that Kirilov can stop Vic, so I
played this instead of the under because it is close to the same odds
and I could end up a dual winner if the stoppage comes late. Needless to say, I don't see Peterson losing or Dirrell having a competitive fight on his hands.
.75 of a unit on leader after round 3 loses fight or draw (+190) (After round 3 and fight outcome both on Lederman's card) Zab starting fast and fading has become a trend and who knows Clottey could start fast again and break his hand then go into Margarito mode. Either way, this shouldn't be where it is.
.55 of a unit on Judah knocked down or out (-105) I didn't play the ITD because Clottey has never really been a finisher. I do see Judah doing a little jig at some point or taking a knee. His chin has never been good and I think it's fallen even further.
4 fight parlay 1 unit to win 1.9 Clottey Wins Only (-211) Peterson (-1100) Dirrell -15.5 Points Handicap (-550) Soto (-190)

Played a little more on that Lederman prop, but instead used the
official fight result version of the prop this time. Just in case the
cards are the end factor and Lederman has it off at the end, which I
guess wouldn't really be a surprise.
.45 of a unit on leader after round 3 loses fight or draw (+180) (Lederman's scorecard for three round score, official fight results for winner)

well that was an ugly fight damn kirilov looked bad
Yep, he looked flat from the get-go; plus, Vic was very determined. It was like Kirilov wasn't even there. Glad I hedged the over with the Vic ITD parlay, garnered a bit of profit still.

1 unit to win 1.9 Clottey Wins Only (-211) Peterson (-1100) Dirrell -15.5 Points Handicap (-550) Soto (-190) ?
Glad I hedged on the Vic fight. As I said Kirilov looked as flat as a two week old coke from the get go.
The plan worked on the after round three props in the Zab fight, he won the early rounds and faded. I think it was a punch that got the cut going, that knocked down/out prop should have been gravy also. Even if the cut doesn't happen I think that Zab still goes down. At least this stopped a potential Margarito-Zab fight from happening, that would have been as ugly as it can get. Zab really should hang them up or start fighting Butterbean 4 round exhibitions.
I'm going to see if I can find a stream of the Soto fight, didn't see a result.

Reads like Soto got manhandled by Palacios. I thought with Palacios's inactivity and Soto's home turf edge it would take a lot to beat him, 4 KD's will do it, lol. I remember watching Soto a few years ago on Telemundo; I thought he was a decent little fighter, but it looks like he is headed for fringe status.
Won 1.49 units for the week.
