Rough stretch right now. Awful call on Mijares. I've watched a few of the guys fights and he's always impressed me. He was seriously hurt and shocked by Vic's power in the 1st and that was all that she wrote. Maybe the 0-1-1 stretch for Vic was a wake up call because that was not the guy who drew with Z Gorres.
Anyway, I'm going to keep plugging. One play tomorrow:
Mike Mollo (+145) over Jameel McCline 1 unit to win 1.45
I think McCline is shot. He was thoroughly beaten by a faded Ruiz last time out and I think Mollo may follow that script. The size difference is a bit of a concern but I don't see McLine using it. I think he's in the sport for paychecks at this point and Mollo is the kind of guy who can do enough to beat him.
Looking forward to see what everyone else likes for Saturday. I'm ordering the card so I figure to have action. I really am not in love with either side in the main event. I may just take Calzaghe by decision for a little because that is the most likely result. I may stay away. Going to think about it.
Good luck everyone.

A quick aside: I love how the McCline fight is a title eliminator. McCline is 38, has lost 3 straight and hasn't won a fight in over 2 years. Yet, here he is in an eliminator for a world title.

Abraham/Marquez Under 8.5 (+120) 2 units to win 2.4
Something fishy seems to be going on with Abraham but I still see him dropping Marquez somewhere in the first 6 rounds of the fight. I feel like the ref will have to stop this before too long because Marquez will continue coming in. If Abraham keeps his workrate up, theres only one logical ending.
Frankie Figueroa by 10 round decision (-198) 1.98 units to win 1
From the little I've seen of Figueroa, he's a slick boxer that gets better as a fight goes on. I think thats a bad thing for the drunken master as I'm not sure he can keep up for 10 full rounds. I expect this to be semi-competitive early with Figeroa winning almost all of the late rounds to earn the decision. Judges usually aren't enamored with Augustus' style either so he could pull out yet another controversal decision.
I've still got nothing on Jones/Calzaghe yet. I was looking for an "Either fighter KO or KD'd" prop or some Lederman props. None up yet. I may be back with something.
