Yes I know McCloskey is home turf and unbeaten, I’ll stick my neck out here.

Lousy odds on offer for someone moving up a weighclass for the first time but truly Anderson is miles above Irvin. Irvin has one way to fight, a round 1 slug o war and Silvia has never been suceptible to this sort of action, with his excellent boxing defences and circling footwork. He looked fine verus Hendo who tried to land big overhand rights on him to no avail.

The weigh-in staredown photo shows an Irvin, who to me, looks scared.

Fedor to win (Affliction)

I’ll take this at -400 with confidence. Big Tim has never been TKO’ed but has been submitted many times yet he never ever learns or changes his game. It’s gonna be the same old story, once this hits the canvas Tim won’t be getting up. I don’t spot that rabid desperation in Tim’s eye during the weigh-in photos so I’m guessing he won’t be coming to try a crazy new strategy this time(he should!), and is just happy to headline this event.

Has Tim learn anything from Nog? I’m betting no.

 Unlike Nog, Fedor has just enough stand up firepower to hurt a bit and I’m hoping Fedor’s top team knows Tim will be trying for a facial cut like Lindland did and take precautions. Fedor should come with a forward head lean in this fight to reduce the chances Tim’s straight shots (the only kind Tim has) cutting him up. Tim has never shown a good uppercut. For those who think Fedor has “been out too long”, remember Fedor has top team, his preparation has always been good, he won’t lose his mystique so cheaply with a loss to someone who was beaten by Nog, who he has splattered twice.

Fullbrights, there were a few things prompting me to take a dog shot at Wright.

1) McClottey is nowhere as good as his 16-0 record suggests because he has fought ‘cans’. McClottey is plainly a ‘protected’ guy.

2) Wright is, IMHO significantly stronger and hits harder. He fades a bit, but if he simply toned down his hit power, he’d have the same tank as Clottey.

3) Sure McClottey can box, but he has never been pressured by anyone good. He has an unchinny look to him?

4) In the one and only staredown photo I found, I prefered the look in Wright’s face. I use a few odd things in my considerations.

In the Santos/Alcine staredown, in the only pic I found, the looks were similar and I prefered Santos but Mr.Houston sounded like he strongly expected an Alcine win so it scared me off Santos.

I dunno what Tim’s strat was, looks to me he had no plan. He came in scared, hands right up, right hand pasted on his temple fearing the left hook (which he got hit with anyway). Fedor came in half asleep as usual, really, I think he should come in warmer.
