JL Castillo/Sebastian Lujan Under 9.5 (+110) 2.2 units to win 2
There may be value in Castillo here, but I think no matter which way it goes, it has a real good chance to end before the final bell. I can envision Castillo being ill prepared and blown out in the fourth round. I can see Castillo beating up the defensively challenged Lujan for 6-8 rounds before a stoppage. I could see either guy dominating to the point of a corner stoppage. Cuts are a possibility. All this adds up to the under.
Dio Miranda over Sebastian Demers (+425) 1 unit to win 4.25
Gotta love Columbian punchers. Seriously, I'd love to get a ITD prop here because I could see him knocking the overrated Demers out. Who is betting Demers at 5-1? Did people not see him go 8 sleepy rounds against a recreational fighting firefighter. Miranda had alot of bad rounds against Quillin but staggered him. He will stagger Demers in this fight at some point and he can finish him off. I am seriously looking at the under in this fight too.
Ishe Smith (-135) over Pawel Wolak 2.70 units to win 2
Step up for Wolak here and something just tells me he picked the wrong guy in this spot. Smith looked good in the second half of his last fight against Julio. He's slick, but he has to let his hands go more. I feel like Wolak lacks the explosiveness of Julio and Shay will be ready to go from the opening bell and bank early rounds rather than need to come from behind.
Clottey/Judah Over 11.5 (-140) 4.2 to win 3
You never know what Zab you are going to get, but I think he's got the whiskers to hang in against Clottey who isn't exactly a KO artist. Two things going for the over here: 1) Clottey has a tendency to cruise to decisions with big scoring leads. He did it with Alvarez, he did it with Flores and I'd bet he has done it before that. If Clottey controls this fight, which a lot of people think he will, he'll be happy to win 116-112 across the board and hope that gets him a payday (it won't). 2) Clottey has a great chin and great defensive skill. He's not Pernell Whitaker but he really is one of the best in the game today IMO. I've never seen him hurt , staggered or down. He went 12 rounds with some guy named Margarito. He runs like 20 miles a day or something, he is ready to go 12.
Nothing in yet on Showtime's weakish card.

Deserved a beat after getting a gift with Miranda. I have to admit I had it for Demers by a point. Getting it from the MTL judges was a real surprise. Judah guesses 2/3 fingers wrong 3 times in a row? Sounds like a guy who wanted to quit and go to the cards and I'm glad he lost.
