Thoughts on Kessler/Froch

I don't follow boxing too closely - more of an MMA and Tennis guy - but what do you guys think of Kessler as low at -130 some places? It struck me as odd. Is this something well worth playing?

Seems like a fair line (based on Kessler getting destroyed his last fight).


Good news for Kessler, Froch is NO Andre Ward, if anything the complete opposite.

I would go with the fight NOT to Go the distance.  Styles like this don't usually add up to the final bell ringing :)

                                             

The Ward fight really threw how I look at Kessler off. If someone asked me before Ward I would say Kessler all day. Froch is a very limited fighter and no matter which way you cut it he lost to Dirrell...anywhere other than UK and its a DQ. Taylor was kicking his ass for crying out loud and a bit of luck got Froch on the map.

Yup, the fight's in Denmark. Which is part of why I was surprised he's -125 at Bet365. 5dimes has him at -165 and I've seen Kessler as high as -180.

Mcnulty since I think lowly of BOTH fighters it's what made the ITD stand out... Froch has one style (come forward) and against two American fighters who are superior with hand/foot speed he was out classed.

I agree Froch needed a miracle against Taylor, Heck I had Taylor.. lol! I know Taylor just needed to take a standing 8 count or hold and Froch goes back across the pond as exposed.

I'm NOT impressed by Kessler either, I think these two guys are made for each other, and one will go down for the count. Two  aggressive styles give me the ITD.

How strongly do I feel on this? Not strong, but picking between these two guys is a tough call.

 Kessler maybe has the edge in talent.. but remember he was LOOKING for a way out against WARD. He pretty much quit... from the 7th round on.

Froch has NO quit in him, the way I see it two very hittable guys both have a decent punch.. so ITD seems better than picking How much Kessler has left...and how bad Froch might look lol!

Good luck to anyone actually picking this fight, I wouldn't touch it maybe a small player on the ITD at most.

How does one pick Kessler when he clearly wanted to QUIT. How does one pick Froch when he was severely outclassed in his last two fights.

Remember one thing Kessler in his tune up fight before Ward looked VERY hittable. Calzaghe gave him a beating and so did Ward, his tune up hit him pretty well... maybe Joe took everything out of him?

Froch may lack boxing skill, but he never looked to QUIT.  I still think ITD is the best call for this junk fight. ( I say junk fight to bet, but VERY FUN to watch).

                                                 

Kessler decision.  

The fact that Froch "won" vs Dirrell and Kessler lost against Ward is behind those gift odds.

If Froch would have lost to Dirrell, he would be +300 against Kessler. There is no need to think about this one - Kessler wins VERY, VERY, easily.

Hmm, ok. Still don't necessarily agree with it, but when fight time pops off I'll definitely keep your post in mind. 

Mcnulty  that's a good thing everyone can have a view on a fight, I think that helps the best people having different views and a good thing we all get along.

I feel as fight draws closer this forum will be  active and lots of good info!
