Tonights fight

This weight is just too bad an adjustment for Pacman.  He starts out at 112, and now at 144??  Really?  This is a much more comfortable weight for Cotto, even having to lose some.  Pacman is in a whole other dimension at this weight.  Will Pacman really even be able to hurt Cotto?  Who, btw is a WC boxer, and has some power, only losing to Margarita, who, was loading his gloves with plaster.  Hmmmm.  I have been reading also about Pacman's lack of focus during his training in the Phillipines too.  I like the bigger hitter at more his normal weight class.  Going to be a good one, but Cotto is no slouch.  You guys ware making way too much on this speed thing.  Cotto has fought guys that are very fast too, with power, at this higher weight limit.  Cotto cuts the ring off, and the true size disadvantage takes its toll.  Cotto, in a KO.  GL!

I like Cotto in the fight too, but several things have backed me off.

1. Cotto's last fight on his deal with Top Rank. He'll probably have a tough time getting the nod on the cards against everyones new favorite fighter.

2. Cotto gets losts in fights sometimes, could happen again tonight. He could wind up on an island with little help from his corner. If Manny does well early, Cotto is done. He might not quit but somebody will do it for him.

3. Is he just a pawn on the way to Mayweather? Nobody has said anything about what direction Cotto will go if he wins. What would be left for him? Mayweather won't fight him and nobody is itching for a rematch with Shane. The marketplace can dictate outcomes - ask Max Kellerman.

Bet the under at close to even money and enjoy someone catching a beating.

Miguel signed an extension with Arum about 2 weeks ago. Contract is good until late 2011.
