Torres Ill, DHop to Take His Place vs Holt!!!

Does anyone think he is ready? I don't... I'll be on Holt if it is -250ish.. .should be interesting.

As a man who's seen D-Hop fight many a time....I'll never bet on a fight of his. He could easily show up and KO the weak chinned Holt, but he could also show up and look lethargic and get out-worked (as expected). His inconsistency is much too hard to handicap for me. GL though.

Not too happy about this as i was looking forward to this and even had the tickets to this fight.  But there is a decent Under card Forman-Vs-Moore (whoes a buddy of mine from queens)
If Moore loses his promoter a construction company is going to cut him off and that will be the end of his non working days.
Yuri F is a good fighter but not tested

I get exactly what I want at -250 and still won't bet it. Very dangerous wager with all the last minute changes here. No prep, just basically a dry run. I wouldn't be shocked if one fighter is WAY better than the other given the circumstances. Just not sure which side now...

 

I'll make the sucker bet of the week and put 100 on Rahman ITD just for fun. Hey, Wlad does keep that left hand out with a pawing type jab. Rahman can still throw a big right haymaker ala Lewis right? Two lesser fighters already have, so fuck it. Will be a fun wager.

On a side note, they just couln't set that round total low enough, could they? It was off the board forever and they throw up 6.5? I'll still take a piece of that under. Maybe.

Yeah, I don't really know what to think about Holt-Hopkins.  The best way to crack Holt is to be able to crack and Demetrius really doesn't have much pop.  I think Hops keeps it competitive in a distance fight.  I was really looking forward to playing Torres ITD again along with a bundle on the under, but I guess that will have to wait.

Agree on Rahman-Klitschko.  I'm extra large on the under, just don't see how Hasim sticks around for long and who knows he may land a bomb, doubt it though.

Would have been the bet. However, fuck it. Now we get a chacne on a dry run fight. I lean Holt via points.

An under at the chalk/rounds usually isn't  a good bet, but it is. Baltimore Slick might just drop a bomb. He probably won't... but it sure as hell will be fun getting over 10/1 saying he does. The only "value" in this fight. I still want to touch Holt at halfs... who knows. Little risk/big reward weekend if we play it right.

I am also loving that Rock under.......Demetruis has no pop....I saw him versus Noberto Bravo and he looked like shit lost that fight. He lost that fight versus steve forbes as well. Golden Boy let him go just because????????????????   Yeah right. Since Holt is trained to fight torres, no letdowns here.  

Personally I was disappointed as well. i was ready to dump on torres since I personally believe that elbow knocked him out after the punch (torres & holt 2)....

He lacks the "Ko" pop, like Torres has....

Micheal Warrick lost to Emanueal Augustus tells you enough about that Ko......I just do not think he will be able to back up holt off with his power. He would have to fight a remarkable fight for me to think he even had a slight chance...

Noberto bravo, Andre Eason, Steve Forbes , and Al gonzales....

Not exactly on Holt's level...

FYI......Espn bringing up the golden gloves win for hopkins......dropped the line or create more action on Hopkins...Guarenteed.

I think he pulls off the upset.  I am not impressed with Holt.  Also they know each other very well from Golden Gloves and sparing sessions. I beleive D-Hop Beat Holt in the Golden Gloves.  Anyways this is the pros now and many years later and I still think D-hop is worth a shot here. I will take D-Hop +180

Micheal Warrick lost to Emanueal Augustus tells you enough about that clip.....Micheal Warrick was not even a 3rd tier fighter.....That Ko means nada.

Yo either way I think D-Hop is at good value. Holt doesn't impress me.  He doesnt deserve to be -220. Holt was training to face a slugger in Torres and D-Hop is slick skilled and boring fighter.  I think a good bet would be the over 11.5 rounds.

That clip wasn't to glorify Warrick, it was to show that D-Hop does have a little pop when he chooses to let his hands go.

I see what you were after with the clip, but I have seen Hopkins any time he has been on the tube the last few years.  This isn't an indication of the power that he has.  Anyone on any given night landing a shot that's not seen coming and landing it in the right spot can look like Jack Dempsey reincarnated.
