We've seen far, far worse in what might be the most corrupt sport outside of horse racing.
But seriously, if Floyd goes into the 11th round and goes more defensive (not unusual) with what he and us all believe to be a giant lead on the cards, and Pac-Man offers another flurry of punches against the ropes (of which, most didn't even connect, as the announcers astutely pointed out), and then perhaps gives a last ditch effort in the 12th, then the result would have been two judges saying this fight was a DRAW?
You can give three rounds to Pac-Man at best. 116-112 is a mere two rounds switching fighters. Not sure which round went to Pac-Man for not one but TWO judges. I certainly didn't see it, the announcers didn't see it and no one I spoke with thinks Pac-Man won 4 rounds.
Yeah, you may say it's a bit much to complain about but we all stuck around for the decision knowing anything could happen (as the boxing world definitely wanted a rematch given the lack of meaningful fights on the horizon).
Two judges, a mere two rounds, from seeing this fight as a draw, when the landed punch count was 148 to 81 for Floyd (and the 'punches that connected' vs. 'punches thrown' was far far higher for Floyd). Ok.

You obviously don't know how Boxing is scored, so why don't you go and read up about it before making yourself look like a complete noob on here.
And you are an 'authority' on boxing who knows exactly how the fight should be scored, although you can't give me another round Manny won outside of two and at most 3, Manny won.

pacman was out performed mayweather was crisper in the final six rounds the first 6 it was a toss up pacman was really after him but point is mayweather won this fight guess now its reaveled pacman had a torn rotor cuff and couldnt get his jab going but reality this was a at best a c fight Sorry if you bought the hype of mega fight here but mayweather played running chicken and pacman charging bull vs a matador. till mayweather really connected in the 6th then pacman went to a stop and stalk technique and mayweather picked him apart. i saw this by the tenth knew it was going to the cards went back to the hotel room to beat the traffic.

You said, '116-112 is a mere two rounds switching fighters'.
WRONG!
You also said, 'Two judges, a mere two rounds, from seeing this fight as a draw'.
SAME THING WRONG.
Look up how boxing is scored and come back.

Pac man should have stood in the center of the ring and pulled Mayweather antics and told May to come get him. Floyd would have never stepped toe to toe with Manny. Everyone knows Floyd is a tactician and retreating is the cowardly way to fight. Yes May landed more punches at a better rate, however I think Manny did more damage with far less landed. I never saw Manny dazed where I saw Floyd dazed a couple of times. Floyd does what he has to do ti win the score card, but he can not be considered one of the greatest with the run approach. Ali and Tyson are by far more superior then May, tey actually looked to take control of the fight and push the action.

Where your whole theory falls down is one vital statistic. Mayweather threw more punches than Manny. That's not running! Also, Mayweather dominated the centre of the ring. Mayweather punches had far more potency on the whole than the one or two you are referring thrown by Manny that seemed to shake Mayweather. Mayweather clearly won at least 8 if not 10 rounds. No one ex boxer or expert commentatorhas said any different.
With regards to his legacy, Mayweather will be clearly classed as one of the greatest boxers of all time, up there with Marciano and Ali. The record speaks for itself. If his style doesn't appeal to you, then so be it. Wouldn't you class Manny as the type of fighter who likes to take control of the fight. Look what happened to him? Mayweather nuetralises opponents. Mayweather looked like he could go another 5 rounds easily after that fight. Manny on the hand, looked beat.

Floyd won the fight. He was more "technical"...But let's not get carried away here as he did not dominate the fight. He won more rounds and that's about it. If anyone was the coward is was Floyd for holding and tying up paceman overtime he was cornered.
Mayweather bet 450000 on
