Even though Morales cost me a bet, my hats off to him. Fighting bravely with 1 eye closed from rd 2 on was quite an achievement. After watching the fight, I can't help but feel that Maidana took Morales a little lightly because of his advanced age & diminishing skill level. But that's water under the bridge. I will say that I would make that same bet 100 times in a row, even after the disappointing outcome. You can't win every bet just because you have an edge in the betting odds (which I still believe I had). In the long run an advantage in odds will definitely make you a winner though. Will hope for a better result next time.

I agree with Crazy. The value was with Morales. I would've been OK with the draw, but agree that Maidana squeaked it out. Won early rounds and late. Didn't expect that performance from Erik!

I agree Red, Maidana didn't take him seriously and all respect in the world to Morales fighting with one eye.. and doing a pretty good job during some rounds.
They agreed "in the ring" to a rematch which is the right call, even though I had Maidana up by 2 points could see some people giving it a draw and I wouldn't complain.
If Morales doesn't rematch Maidana he should retire. Maidana is the best style for Morales, he's easy to hit and always has a chance.
I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch with a good under card, Kirkland -3000 and gets bombed out by a guy with 5 ko's to his name. Biggest shocker in a while.
