Very, very confident in Cotto -4.5 points -115 (Any KO/TKO a winner)

Going to start keeping track of my plays to see how well I do. I mostly bet MMA, but am increasingly betting more and more tennis and boxing.

9.2 units to win 8, which I'd consider a large play for me

I know there's some threads on this fight, but I haven't heard any discussion about this point spread. I do think Cotto stops him, so the -4.5 points will be irrelevant. And even over the course of 12 rounds and 3 judges' scorecards, 4.5 is very little and only a split decision could probably ruin it if it goes to the cards.

These types of bets tend to scare me though.  All it takes is a split decision and you're pretty much

I was looking at it from the other angle taking 4.5 with Foreman then realized it wasn't worth it, you spread that across (3) judges that leaves you less than 2 points per judge.

Is it still better than laying the -200? Yes if you like Cotto.

But for me I'd rather take the +165/170 with Foreman as NY is very kind to Cotto even though Foreman does have some backing here in NY it's nothing like the following Cotto has.

Good luck with your wager at -200 I would think the pts handicap would be a bit higher.. than 4.5.

The way I see is Cotto will start strong as usual for the first FOUR rounds, then start fading, but the 8th round he will be retreating as usual and Foreman will be the aggressor for the rest making it a very close fight.

Cotto cuts super easily.. Yuri cuts too..people say Yuri cannot punch but not much of a punch is needed  to open up scar tissue. Jabs and pity pat punches can do just as much on eyes like Cotto.

And we know once Cotto sees blood he throws boxing out the window.

I agree that if you like Cotto, this is probably the best way to bet him.  I don't like Cotto though.

 

Foreman to win in round 1, +13000.  WAR Foreman!

Appreciate the input.

I just don't know what you guys see in Foreman (or is it what you don't see in Cotto anymore)? I feel like in fight sports if a guy gets beat up a few times, even if it's against guys like Pacquaio his stock drops so precipitously that it's just not in concert with everything that came prior to the beat down.

Plain and simple, I don't think Yuri's a good fighter. At all.

I will be playing Yuri Foreman +165 (hoping it higher)
I found it at only +150 but it's jumped to +170 at local casino's so I'm all over it

I think that the fight will play out exactly like you stated above

I don't see Cotto backing up in this fight. He has to pressure and he knows it. As he tires in the middle rounds his pressure won't be as good as it started but Yuri will still be the one backing up. Even in his prime Cotto's pressure wasn't the suffocating type (very methodical). Unlike other pressure fighters, Cotto relied more on his skills and the timing of his power punches, rather than brute conditioning(Margarito, Hatton). Cotto's higher than percieved "boxing IQ" combined with him being trained by Steward, make me lean towards Cotto by dec.

You forgot to touch up on his stamina issues but I agree w/ most of your comments

I still think Yuri wins by decision...
