Ufc shows up in a suit and respects those that are good when they might fight a contender!.........Boxing shows up and puts on a small show.....on HBO or not....they cant support. It's complete bullshit to say that they are after the sport. UFC supports the sport. Boxing supports the $$$$$$$$$$. I do understand they have a body and a living to make. It's not passion!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats what we pay for HBO....PPV...or any other thing. They better turn around athletes in this division. The first fight Pavalik had passion and thats what beat Miranda...F*&K the other two that made this a soap opera!!!!!!
Please tell me thats not true....those at UFC....we appreciate your heart and hard work! Keep it up. Its not all about the money...Thats why its called a sport!!!!!!!
Why would an athlete still play day after day for a terrible team....its called hope and passion........

fuck that noise. the reason UFC appears to have so much support is because there's only one organization of these nutballs. Boxing has three titles floating around. seems a bit silly but it's all about money. There's no monopoly in boxing but then there's a lot of chicanery and backroom dealings to negotiate who gets to fight who. besides, the real problem in boxing these days is the scoring system is rigid enough to make the sport fair....but sometimes very dull. Tonight's fight with Taylor and Spinks is a perfect example. Taylor is fighting a halfpint dodgy little turd of a boxer who really can't make it in this weight class....Spinks dodges and weaves around the ring all night and nobody cares to see that. hell I could get in the ring and run for 12 rounds.

The undercard fight is what boxing needs. Miranda and Pavlik didn't have to fight each other, both could have continued to bide their time until they got a title shot, but they wanted to take a risk and make a statement did. Pavlik made that statement and I hope that many noticed tonight. Boxing needs risk takers like those two who are willing to put it on the line.

Some of your shit is true about Boxing but Dana White pimps those fighters and they are no where near the athletes as Sphink Taylor or Pav.

UFC is a complete joke. Its obvious the public spoke few weeks. If two great boxers get in the ring, THE ENTIRE WORLD WATCHES. Do you think the day will ever come when UFC does that? Or better yet, do you think the day comes when ESPN even announces UFC results? Come on UFC cant even get ESPN's attention BECAUSE theyre not real athletes. A bunch of failed athletes in other sports they are and have nothing to live for so the reason it looks exciting is BECAUSE yes and i do give them this, THEY ARE WILLING TO DIE IN THERE.................But, a boxer would seriously hurt any of the UFC fighters. UFC is childish. Come on, grown men bulging eyes out LOL. Boy that takes a lot of talent. By the way did you see Shrek's workout on youtube. What a dork. He tried skipping rope and it kept catching his feet. FInally he got flustered and threw the rope down. Its called- "UFC champion cant jump rope"

This is not true. Pride fighting is very big and if i'm not mistaken is probably the bigger of the two. Its extremely popular in Japan. UFC just happens to be bigger in the states.
Just9012, If your serious then your completely off base. UFC fighters are true athletes. Boxers train for one thing, and thats punching. UFC fighters have to train for several different aspects of fighting. Generally speaking a true boxer would beat a MMA fighter in a classic boxing match because the boxer trains for that style and type of fight. If you however took a boxer and put him in a MMA contest the boxer would be outclassed.
I hate when people say certain type of fighters aren't true athletes. You have to be athletic to compete at either of these sports. Its kind of like saying M. Jordan wasn't a true athlete because he sucked at playing baseball. its apples and oranges.

Nappy enjoys coming in the boxing forum from time to time to talk smack and boost his internet testosterone level. He is an idiot; he knows it, I know it, and the board knows it. He has no knowledge and when proven to look retarded he comes after you about your ability to spell correctly.

just9012. I do actually see the day when ESPN will get involved. It considered a sport by many and brings in millions of dollars in revenue in PPV...as well as- has made spike TV.
For those that havent watched lately....the rules have changed a lot.
UFC bought Pride and has brought two different fight styles together. That has made this all the more interesting to see.
