Berto at -120 looks VERY GOOD. Ortiz last significant win was well.....2011 vs Berto in a fight some can say took alot out of both fighters(they both never looked quite the same after). He then has took some beatings to Josesito Lopez, Luis Collazo, and kissed Mayweather.
Berto had an unfortunate shoulder injury in his loss to Karrass but did take a somewhat career altering beating to Guerrero. But cmon this guy is gritty, faster than most ww and has never showed any signs of being a quitter or look for a way out of a fight. Watch Berto vs Lopez and even though he was getting outboxed early he stuck with it and got the eventual KO.
In conclusion Ortiz is a mental case and this should be his retirement form the sport. Anyone betting on such a mentally weak individual, in a sport that demands the exact opposite is absolutely nuts. He is not even talented enough to just get by on that.

SO why is this fight basically a toss up?

I think Berto has the hand speed and mov't that can give a stalker like Ortiz fits. Berto still has at least some pop left, and Ortiz can be caught flush when he tries to circle toward his power side begining a combo.
Let's get this!

Yes, agreed... this one jumped out to me.
This is a max play for me.

Over/Under on this fight is 9.5 rounds. Very low for this weight class. Vegas doesn't see it going the distance either. And remember, both fighters said this won't go the distance either.

lol FUking Berto made me sweat letting the nutcase knock him down
Once Ortiz got hit though, im hoping everyone saw the difference between a mentally shot fighter and another boxer who still has more years left in the tank. Ortiz has no heart when faced with some adversity, stood straight up the whole fight barely moved his head and did no throw any combinations. This should be his retirement and I wish my book would have let me bet more than 1k
