Really good card tomorrow. Decent card tonight. Lots to bet. I've stated in other threads that I'm on JMM ITD. I just think he's too skilled and acurate for Juan Diaz. I don't believe Diaz is going to be able to change his style this many fights into his career. He'll still be charging full speed ahead, and I think JMM will be countering him all night, until he stops him.
I'll probably add another play or two tomorrow. I played some of these early in the week, and some lines moved in my favor, but one moved against me (George ITD). I have a play on Jacobs at -140, but today I played Pirog at +160, and it works out so I'm freerolling for half a unit on Jacobs.
Here are my plays so far:
- Marquez to win in rounds 7-12 (+296) risking 2 to win 5.92.
- George ITD (-350) + Linares (-335) + Marquez (-420) risking 3 to win about 3.2.
Home Run Swing:
- Rodriguez ITD (+225) + Jacobs ITD (+186) + Marquez ITD (+140) risking .5 to win about 10.65.

I like the plays you have.. I'm betting them a bit differently.. playing it safe with Marquez and not doing ITD even though I feel strong it will not go the distance.
Still waiting for the Points handicap to be released on 5dimes for Casamyor :)
GOod luck to you and everyone else!

Good ref in the first fight, George was getting demolished and I think a (2 point deduction) was a great call so this way there wasn't a disqualification.
Second fight.. I had Delvin up by 1 point, him losing by two points.. tough call worst case scenario I would think was a draw.
Weird though 9th round he looked as if he was going for a KO 100 % in control.
Round ends, 60 seconds later it looks as if someone shot Delvin in his legs.. he was so off balance he looked odd..weird because he had an amazing 9th.
I like when underdogs win, Sierra deserved that win took the fight on 9 days notice and didn't come to lay down.
Poor George he has to see that fight the rest of his life on highlight reels.
Cannot wait until tomorrow! I believe there is going to be TWO free televised fights before the PPV starts and one of them is just a guy they want to show off.. but Sakio/Mendy should be an okay fight.
That's 5 really good fights.. as always will post the links tomorrow as fight time gets closer.
Good luck to all!

Awful night for me. The ref did the right thing at the end of the George fight, but no way should it have gotten to that point. They should've stopped that disaster about three rounds earlier. Bad job by the corner and the ref, letting the kid take that bad of a beating. Sierra couldn't miss with anything. Every time George tried to open up and throw, Sierra was pounding him with counters and beating him to the punch. I thought Delvin deserved the decision in the main event, but it doesn't matter. He'll never beat anyone good anyway.
I'm counting on JMM to save my weekend.

I dont post in this forum, but read your guys' threads all the time. I had a question regarding the George fight.
George is 20-0-1, and ranked 32 in the world at supermiddle weight (out of 862) and 9th in the US out of 206 according to boxrec.com
Sierra is 21-3, and ranked 3 out of 59 in mexico and 91 in the world at super middle weight.
Is George a huge fave because of him beating better competition?
Thanks for giving my question some attention
I think the line was more about Sierra being bad than George being good. Sierra had only fought in the US one other time, and he was KO'd in the first round by Miranda (huge puncher, but lousy boxer). Also, the original opponent fell through about ten days ago, and Sierra took the fight on short notice. That's a huge disadvantage. Most times when you get a late replacement, they're not in great shape, they're unprepared, and they have little chance of winning (Jerson Ravelo a few FNFs ago). George got exposed though last night. He's an action guy, makes good fights, but he's too easy to hit. Anyone with any kind of power is going to beat him up. I wish I knew this yesterday.
Boxrec is a great source for results and checking out a fighter's career. I don't pay much attention to their schedules or rankings. They have a mathematical system for ranking fighters, and I guess it's kind of accurate, but it's tough to rank undefeated guys who haven't really been tested.
And, they have Wlad Klitschko at #3 on the p4p list.

I don't use boxrec for rankings either it's a bunch of B.S. Vitali who didn't fight for 4 years was still high up on the list while not even fighting.
I like using boxrec to see how many knocks downs occurred in the fight, plus if the fight is in the U.S usually it has a white button next to it with details.. sometimes giving really good information n what really happened, like a guy slipped a ref called it a knock down.. but on the main page it will say "knocked down in the 4th or whatever".
I also like to see the punch stats and how the fight was going because as you see in many fights.. the winner doesn't always get the decision.
Wlad will be fighting Sam peter.. on 9/1 on espn3 (Great date to pick a fight (schmucks)!).
Peter said he will be in amazing shape this fight unlike his last 5 which he promised, he said he will definitely be under 300 pounds for this fight he might even make 290 if he tried hard.
Good luck with Marquez Danno hope he pulls through for you it's a good wager in my eyes :)

I like Linares don't know enough about Bika/Mendy to wager but the over seems good based on their past fights.
Good prop on Diaz/Marquez, Diaz can possibly catch him early.. seen Marquez down quite a few times on short punches (flash knock downs) but still a winner and of course Marquez has a good shot at knocking Diaz down.
Good luck!

Terrible weekend for me. Congrats to anyone who cashed.
Robert Guerrero should be embarassed by his performance last night. Casamayor was dead man walking. Any top guy KOs him last night. Just a gross performance. And his corner was awful too. They kept telling him to set up counters. For the first half of the fight, Casamayor was throwing nothing. How can you counter nothing? That fight made me sick.
Pirog was awesome last night, but I'm afraid we'll never see him again. He was charismatic and entertaining, but I'm afraid he'll be one of these guys who just disappears into Europe and fights stiff after stiff defending that absurd title.
Everyone who predicted that Diaz would change styles was right. Too bad his new style left him with zero chance of beating JMM. It was a catch-22. If he was the old Baby Bull, he probably gets KO'd, and if he boxed like he did, we saw what happened.
