Daniel Jacobs vs. George Walton Jacobs ITD -135 (5Dimes) 1.35 units
I think Jacobs can get Walton out of there since Walton's been hurt before, and he's much older than Jacobs. Lots of people want to compare Walton to Michael Walker, who lasted the distance against Jacobs, but Walker was Kelly Pavlik's sparring partner, so he's used to absorbing hard punches. Also, Walker stays in a defensive shell, while I expect Walton to try to fight.

Jesus Jimenez vs. Santiago Acosta Jimenez by 12 Round Decision +240 (5Dimes) 1 unit
I expect Jimenez' recent run of KO's to end tonight, as Acosta's a much better fighter than the cans that Jimenez has been facing lately. Acosta went the distance against hard-hitting Luis Concepcion, so he can obviously take a punch. I expect Acosta to put up a spirited effort at first, but he'll know how to survive when he begins to sense trouble. A wide unanimous decision for Jimenez seems the logical result.

nice hit on jacobs....I had money on the under and the itd win for jacobs so i was alittle pissed.....pretty cool story.....i got a phone call at my work.....espn network wanted us to cater their workers....i got to meet teddy, joe, and the most unexpected Oscar dela hoya.......he actally was a pretty cool and humble guy.. i told him i had tickets to the ortiz and madiana fight and he told me it was gonna be the fight of the year and he was also dissapointed john was not on the card......
he was dressed like he had $500 in his bank account surprisingly..........
anyways, i had bought 3 ticket for $200 a pop for the fight 5th row and i can;t go....im stuck here in tucson
so when you watch the fight on hbo and there is a row of 6 seats empty thats where i should have been....my other friend bought the other 3 and can;t go either....i was in floor area 1....
oh well the card sucks now.......
just to note jacobs....he seemed like he just has mental lapse too many times...i was 2 feet away from his corner and they were really giving it to him.......he could have ended that fight earlier....
joe t is a stuck up snob, and his wife has some tig-oles....a couple of people ask for pictures and were trying to talk to him but he just brushed them off like nothing....i also found it funny that he was wearing sandles....not saying he is a big dick but honestly he was prudish
atlas is a class act by far.......

Sounds like a fun night, very cool experience. Sounds like you were about as close to the action as you can get. Sucks you couldn't go to that barn burner tonight in Staples.
Gotta disagree on Tessitore though, I have talked with him on a few occasions at ESPN cards and the guy has always been a class act. I have also talked to him from Steve Kim's cell phone (I'll get to this in a minute) about college football for 5-10 minutes. Steve being a rabid Miami fan made the journey all the way from California to Clemson to watch his Canes beat my Tigers in an overtime thriller. My friends and I disregarded our football ties to tailgate with Steve and some of his buddies all in the name of boxing.
Anyways sorry to beat around the bush; I'm long winded when it comes to stories, but I introduced myself to Joe T. at an FNF card in Miami that my wife and I went to last year. I mentioned that I had actually talked to him a few years before from Steve Kim's cell phone about the crazy finish of the Kansas State-Marshall game that he had broadcast the week before. I kid you not, he rattles off, "Yeah, that was when he was down in Clemson for the Miami game right?" I thought that was something for someone with the life that he leads to clearly remember a fan interaction from three years prior. So Joe T. is pretty cool by me.
