Paul Williams vs. Carlos Quintana II Quintana by 12 Round Decision (+314) 1 unit
I wanted to lock this one in because the line's been fluttering a bit lately. I'll be back later to give some reasons (hint: it mostly has to do with the way Quintana outboxed him in the first fight).

If I were Dan Goosen, I would have made damn sure Williams had a tuneup before rematching him against the man that forever tainted his fighter's perfect record. Such is not the case though. Now we're just about 48 hours away from finding out if Williams simply underestimated his fellow southpaw in their first match or if it was simply a classic mismatch. Everyone knows styles make fights and it's my belief that the shorter Quintana's style is totally wrong for the long, rangey Williams, who was more on the receiving end of the punishment during their match this past February than he was playing the role of the Punisher.
I can see how a lot of people would say that what happened in their fight was merely a case of Williams not showing up that night. Quintana, prior to that bout, was perhaps best known for his 5th round loss to his fellow Puerto Rican, Miguel Cotto. Now that fact seems to have been swept under the rug, as many in the boxing community look at him as the man who shattered Williams' unblemished record. I remember hearing and perhaps myself believing, prior to the bout, that Williams was perhaps the most feared man in boxing - so feared that guys champions like Mayweather and Cotto wanted nothing to do with him.
Those that watched their first match saw a fight in which Williams was unable to connect round after round, while his Puerto Rican counterpart kept coming inside, using angles and sharp movement to hammer away at his opponent. Williams' four inch height advantage seemed like more of a handicap than anything else, as he was never really able to get anything serious going against Quintana. I think we'll be in for a similar result Saturday night and see excellent value on the Quintana decision prop.

Oooh, must've been trembling to pull the trigger against Williams. How do you know if Williams hasn't made some adjustments to his style this time? Williams just scares me, I can't pull the trigger. Quintana deserves to win just for the respect though, he just doesn't get any.

Appleby @ 1.66 Small/Med bet Paul Appleby looks much bigger than Simpson. Simpson has gotto mix it up and get on the inside to win this. Simpson has a poor KO rate which makes things worse for him. But with the reach and power advantages with Appleby, I'm gonna side with the babyfaced challenger.

Paul Williams vs. Carlos Quintana II Quintana by 12 Round Decision (+314) 1 unit
What a night indeed. Pavlik, my favorite boxer, scores a 3rh rd TKO, DPDL gets KO'd in the 1st, Quintana gets KO'd in the 1st and Mora wins a decision. I had a funny feeling about this weekend and decided to take it easy. Congrats to those that came up and faded Forrest, DPDL and Quintanta.
