Oscars inability to throw a decent number of punches has to be attributed to weight drain.
Versus Floyd, at 155lbs, Oscar was fading during the second half, and now, 10 lbs smaller, it would be dumb to think he wasn't weightdrained.
The last time I lost this much money was backing Mosley to top Cotto, which he COULD have if the wanted it.
I must beat myself so this never happens again.
Damn, I'm still missing that lost money... *Sniff*

Just curious. I didn't have money on either fighter the other night but I'm noticing all the excuses or explanations are more about Oscar being wieght drained and old. But nothing about how Manny was literally lightning fast and dominant. Sure i can understand Oscar being "old" but so was Bernard Hopkins fightin at fuckin 42 years old and he kicked ass.
Looked to me like Manny used Oscars face as a speedbag.

If you noticed Oscars stomache wasnt ripped like it is when he's in top condition. Think about it......Dropping that much weight his abbs should have been shredded! He had to drop muscle to make that weight....and lots of it. I mean who in the hell is 5-10 and 145 lbs? He's to old to be mass shedding.....His trainers should have known this. With that said Manny looked like lightning in a bottle.... Handed Oscar a serious beat down. Would that have happened to a healthy Oscar.....IDK but if you think about it Oscar HAD only really lost 1 fight in his career(b-hop) every single loss on his record could and most shoud have gone his way. I personally felt he beat Pretty Boy just a short while back....Would Manny handle Floyd? ...I dont think so. So to me its obvious this was a training and weight(muscle) cutting result. He was bone dry pre fight always a bad sign.

I dont think it's father time at all. he was overtrained for this fight. And I disagree with many that he should bounce out boxing. Hopefully oscar realizes the stupidity in his training regiment and weight situation and gets back on the horse because imo he has alot left.

Pretty much the way i saw it. Oscar didnt have enough fluids in him to break a sweat. His muscle tone is evidence. If anybody has access, go back and look at O's eyes pre-fight. That man was fried! To use a first time trainer, that is not familiar with his fighters body and metabolism before you drop that much weight.....is insane!

Agreed both on counts, he looked really bad entering the ring...and nacho is use to training the marquez brothers two small well oiled machines who are always in great shape and don't have the weight situation to deal with..
A telling sign to me in the 24/7 was when angelo said something to the effect of I hope Oscar doesn't leave everything in big bear. I think he could tell they were overtraining and the weight situation could be a disaster.
