listen I like Canelo, he's a terrific offensive fighter, extremely heavy handed and throws nice combinations....but I do think he's very flawed and Trout is a very bad matchup for him. Canelo will not be able to land his combinations because Trout will not stand there for them to land. His stamina is also extremely questionable.
I wish the best for him and believe he will have a great future, but Trout will bring him into deep waters, and Canelo might drown.

First off, its not a fair fight with the Texas judges, so Canelo starts the fight with 2 rounds already won.
Second of all, Canelo is not one to mentally crumble. He's undefeated and he doesn't know how to lose. Combine that with the fact that Trout is naturally defensive (doesn't mean he can't counter) and I envision Trout backing up the whole fight (further lessening his chances of winning close rounds).
What could Cotto have done better?
More combos and liver shots. The left hook to the body cuts off an exit, and fast paced combos (even if blocked) make it more difficult to counter.
I can see people saying Canelo is too slow, but Canelo has deceptive speed. What Canelo lacks in natural speed, he makes for by switching tempos and force, using setup punches, underrated counter-punching, and intelligence. Also because of his power, Canelo's opponents tend to overthink, thus making Canelo look better than he really is.
I still see Trout as a live dog but Trout is going to have to go to war at times (pick his spots), while keeping his distance and staying busy with the jab and changing angles constantly. Canelo has a tendency to coast at times, so Trout should stay busy. If Trout doesn't start well it's over.

trout wins the fight and then came the decision........ no but I think he will win it big enough to get the decision. I actually think he will be beating up canelo during the later rounds of this one. alvarez's defence is average when he is boxing from the outside, no way he will outbox trout and he will figure this out early, this means he will have to be more agressive that usual, this also means his defence will not be as good as usual, trout exposes the defensive flaws and lack of headmovement of the man who to me is the most overrated fighter in the sport fight now, trout wins 8 or 9 rounds here

That's why I'm looking forward to this fight. Canelo is going to have to really impose himself on an opponent with an uncomfortable style. Canelo is going to take some shots in the process, but does Trout really want to exchange blow-4-blow with Canelo? Trout will be backing up most of the fight thus further lessening his chance with the judges who WILL be influenced by the 40,000 Mexican fans cheering for Canelo.

Canelo fights in SPURTS. vs Mosley he had MOsley hurt multiuple times, and hurt him very badly to the body in belive in round 5 or 6 an didn't follow up.
Canleo is a big kid, he most likely just tries to make weight. he has shown he gasses in fights.
i like the OVER for this fight, will save our fools from the judges...just wonder what the juice will be

Trout has a chance here no doubt. I don't think that this is going to be a blow out for either fighter. This is a good matchup we need to see what then kid is made of.
PEACE!
