Your a funny one man, nice post. Mills is still dealing with the effects of a stroke and his sons have taken over command of his promotional company. He has long been out of the ref game.

Nappy: I thought you and your idiocy were KTFO a couple of weeks ago, but I guess you wanted some more. I didn't see in the thread where he took it personal, not everyone gets their feelings hurt as easily as you do.

Simply stating a fact when i called you a dick... thats all.
I said boxing was dying.... it is, many fans and analists agree and say so in their own, not so harsh terms.
Boxing needs this superfight this weekend.... and it better deliver or else boxing will be swept even further under the rug bro.
No offense, and I wish not to start a fight with you on the subject. But how old are you? The reason I am asking that is the level of appreciation for boxing has seemed to die off with my generation and they don't seem to enjoy pugilism. With the world exciting by films like Bum Fights and crap of that nature (not comparing UFC to Bum Fights at all) but that level of somewhat unbridled violence while entertaining and requiring skills more diverse than boxing, boxing will always be UFC or Pride's big daddy.

It was very obvious that you knew your argument was flawed and didn't want to continue the debate, about everything you stated was false......
You resorted to posting in that thread about me spelling correctly...
A dick who knows how to win.....Did it appear that his feelings were hurt? No, most people have thicker skin than you.
Question; is soccer dying? It is not huge in America, but it is huge all over the world.
Boxing has been minimized in the view of the American public, but it can be pushed right back to the forefront with another dynamic star that the casual fan can latch onto or a unified heavyweight champion. Just look at the coverage this week. Europe, Asia, Mexico; different story, it's huge. Just ask any Phillipino if they love boxing. Also, if it's dying, how am I able to watch live boxing 3-4 times on any given week if I choose?

I don't disagree with your entire post, but this statement makes no sense. I could watch the MLS and/or Arena Football League 3-4 times a week if I wanted to. Just because it's on TV, doesn't mean the sport is doing good.
Boxing will be healthy when they blow it up and start from scratch. Less weight classes, less organizations, make the titles mean something again!
Enjoy the fight Saturday!

I wasn't really using that statement to validate that boxing is not dying, my main point was right above it, but when I think of the word dying I think of not existing or quickly depleting that's why I threw that in; the TV lineup for boxing has not altered one bit over the past 5 years and that includes premium cable giants Showtime and HBO.
JDR: How long do you think that it takes UFC to match two superstars against each other and be able to gain as much attention as DLH-PBF has gotten this week everywhere you look?

Good question. It depends on how serious ESPN is about covering the sport. Like it or not, they control the sporting landscape. UFC has done pretty good for itself without any legit mainstream coverage. ESPN running a daily story on the DLH-PBF fight for the last week certainly helped it's buzz. But, then again, DLH would probably get 750,000 PPV buys if he shadowboxed for a hour. If Liddell-Couture or Liddell-Ortiz happened two years later, maybe it could have matched it. Time will tell...

Agree, on the ESPN point. The coverage this week has gone beyond what I thought it would be. I concur that only time will tell, but do you think that the general sports fan would get behind a UFC mega fight and it's higher brutality image at the same level that they do when there is a mega fight in boxing? Plus, I know many people that wouldn't pay for Tyson's fights back in the day because they figured it to last 1-3 rounds, but that is what you have to expect from UFC's big attractions except for the occasional 5 round decision some provide.
Still no Nappy...
