By most accounts, this fight is a coin flip. Pavlik is a KO artist turning out the lights on 28 of his 31 opponents. Taylor has become more of a boxer. In his last seven contests, Taylor has gone the distance six times with the lone KO coming vs. 2nd tier opposition in Daniel Edouard back in February of 2005.
The bets are: 3.5 units on the fight going 11.5 rounds +1.10 to EVEN 2 units on Pavlik by KO +2.50
Using $100 per unit you win a minimum of $150 unless there is a no contest or if Taylor KO's Pavlik. If Pavlik happens to stop Taylor in the final 1:30 of the fight, you win both bets.

Take Pav.this guy is younger and more hungry and will back JM up all night. If Winky is backing up Taylor Pav is gonna be killing him. Taylor is a great athlete was a sick track star but lacks fundamentals to beat a beast like Pav.

Agree with MMA dont see taylor going down, probably be a typical taylor round stealing boring fight. Taylor Dec think
Have you seen Pavlik fight? Be honest.
The only reason I ask is that Pavlik is so aggressive that JT won't be able to steal rounds unless he exchanges with him. JT's been fighting either smaller guys (Spinks, Ouma) or defensive strategists (Hopkins, Wright, Spinks) in his last five fights. Pavlik is completely different than those guys, so this fight's not going to look anything like the last five Taylor fights. And you have to remember that JT KO'd five of his six opponents preceding his recent five fights against defensive guys. JT was considered a KO guy prior to his 2005 fight with Hopkins.
I'll be very surprised if the fight goes the distance.

I think some of you guys are making your opinions based on Pavlik's last fight on HBO. Miranda is a come-forward slugger, whereas Taylor is not. I don't think Taylor is dumb enough to stand in front Pavlik and exchange like Miranda did. Can anyone recall a fight where Taylor has gone down?

Im not one of them guys ive seen this guy fight live i think your underestimating the punch output and and the power of KP.You know i dont remember JT getting dropped but i do remember his left eye closed shut from a game but undersized Ouma. You dont have to be knocked out to be stopped.

If Miranda wasn't a come-forward fighter, then Pavlik would've cornered him and inflicted the same type of damage, albeit earlier in the fight. And when Miranda lost some of his aggression late, Pavlik had him backing up against the ropes and finished him. Taylor doesn't want to back up against Pavlik. That's why this fight is going to be completely different than recent Taylor fights....Also, Taylor has never gone down because he hasn't faced big punchers at the world-class level. Pavlik has the KO power, so this will be a true test for Taylor.

JT i think will win with his Philly shell defense (by his great counter punching skill). Also I think Bernard Hopkins has more power than Pavlik (JT took some good shots against Bernard but didn't get knocked out) So I think JT should win by decision

NO WAY Hopkins has more pure one punch power than Pavlik.
