I hope the public who doesnt know Foreman pushes this line up so I can get a good price.This is a bad opponent for Cotto at this stage of his career imo

Love Cotto here. Supposedly hes on the decline in his career so people will fade him. Go for it.

Arum loves Foreman and Cotto's extension is almost up. Curious to see if there is another extension resign or not. I believe Cotto is done. Look at it from a promotional angle. This fight has Litzau.Juarez written all over it.

I had Cotto pegged at -140 -160 at MOST, I know some said he will be no lower than -500, realize Cotto is done, more importantly he's done in Arum's eyes.

Cotto moving UP in weight, losing his last 3 fights (Margarito,Clottey (yes he lost), and Pac-man.

This is not a good fight for Cotto, as I  stated a few months back he's better against a power puncher, than a guy who will batter him for many rounds using pure boxing skills.

This is Arum's top "Jewish Fighter", against a faded Cotto who now moves up in weight.

Cotto has given his heart and soul to boxing, I admire him for that, but he needs to know when he's being fed to the lions  and Bob Arum is MILKING this last fight and sucking everything Cotto has left in his brain!

As I stated I'm not bashing Cotto, I loved many of his fights, but from an OUTSIDE the ring stand point - The fight favors Foreman is every way and in boxing.. as sad as it is sometimes.. the once great fighter.. is reduced to nothing.. because he fought too long or was used as a Pawn.

I might not even bet this fight because the disgust I have with an "Arum/Arum" fighter.

If I do it's on Yuri, fight may go the distance and he gets an easy decision, but being the way Cotto has bled like a cheap horror movie his past 3 fights scar tissue that doesn't heal opens up quickly.. and even though Foreman isn't a big puncher at 154 he will open up that eye.

It could be a stoppage due to cuts but TAKING +140 there is NO need to prop bet, either way take who you like.

In my case it's Yuri Foreman.

Emanuel Steward will light a fire under Cotto.

I'm afraid of this and the fact that the fight is in New York. Yea Foreman has A fanbase in New York, but I'm still expecting the crowd to be at least 80/20 in Cotto's favor. Wer'e talking New York here - the unofficial capital of Puerto Rico. Cotto will be the one pressing forward and I can see the judges giving all the close rounds to the guy pressing forward with the crowd on his side. I haven't studied Foreman in depth yet, but I don't see a great fighter, just a good one. I'll have more analysis as the fight nears.

As for the promotion of this fight, if Bob Arum can attract more "non-Puerto Rican casual fans" than is the norm at a boxing match, that would be great for the whole sport of boxing - unless the fight and undercard turn out to be a dud (which I can easily envision).

Foreman definitely isn't an easy fight. HE doesn't have much pop in his punches though. Cotto has hired Emanuel Steward to train him for this fight. He's going to have to box and work the body of Foreman to slow down his movement. I actually like Cotto in this one..

Foreman is nothing like Margarito/Clottey/Pacquiao which is a good thing for Cotto.

Yea - that's what we thought of David Estrada.

Foreman is good at what he does. He can constantly circle the ring while throwing a jab and occaionally adding the 2 and 3. The close rounds will go to Cotto since he'll be the man pressing forward with the crowd on his side. Last night I bet money on Cotto at -180. Now he is -240. You Foreman backers should put your money down now if your'e confident enough.

How is Foreman going to keep Cotto off of him for 12 rounds?? Paulie Malignaggi wasn't able to... and he's just as fast as Foreman.

My 1st impression is ....... this is a boy (Foreman) fighting a man (Cotto). Don't give him much of a shot.

 

 

 

Earlier this week I read tickets were going on sale April 16 .. which is tomorrow.. but i can't find anything to support that, its not listed on ticketmaster yet.  Appreciate any information you may know/have

My advice is be on there exactly at 12 (online), pick your seat (s) have your credit card ready and be quick.. they have tons of people and bots "tying" up the computers and buying tickets so they can resell them at crazy prices.
