I'm not a huge CFL fan (read I only gamble on it). But I noticed that every game so far has gone over 1st half, and it's looking like all will go over for the game too.
Now I know it's only 3 games in, but that still seems like a pretty solid trend. Especially considering the public likes betting overs and usually the books tack a few extra points on to the totals they expect to make up for this.
So, I'm wondering: have there been any rule changes or adjustments in the league this year that would cause this phenomenon? Any other explanation?
Just has me curious.

Players, especially defensive players look out of sync and a lil slow so far. Missing lots of assignments and tackles. It will adjust further on this season

"So overall I think we have two more than capable offense and teams with MASSIVE changes on the defensive side of the ball. And with the offense typically already having an advantage at this time of year due to timing issues for the defense. And it being a game thats already geared towards high scoring. I think the OVER is the best play of the game so I will be on that for my "main" play for this game with a smaller play(s) on HAMMY who still get a FG and may catch the ARGOS a lil less hungry and maybe a bit hungover after winning the 100th Grey Cup last year"

Basically what I was trying to say was with so many offensive players in motion pre-snap it's always tough on the defense to stick with their man or make the proper switches. And with such a high turnover rate in the CFL so new players all over. And with many quality veteran players from (almost) every team, not currently on the roster trying to make it down south. It can be tough to keep teams from moving the chains as chemistry is usually pretty low on the defensive side of the ball this early.
And as you said it's just 3 game so the sample size is ridiculously small. And for the record I'm leaning under tomorrow...but IF thats a play I make or anyone else does I'd recommend waiting til kickoff cuz the public will be slurping the over like crazy and you may get as much as a fg overnight/early tomorrow.
