Should have just stuck with the one BC Lions play in Week #2. Eskimos let me down and the dogs are just covering like crazy right now.
Some big games which I absolutely love this weekend.
The BC Lions take their 2nd road games to Montreal. The Alouettes were unlucky last weekend not tow win vs Eskimos and now they are back home. The line for me will have BC as a small fav. BC's defense looked good and so did the Als against the high flying Reilly. The Lions ripped this team apart last season, winning 38-18 and they also ripped the Riders apart last season as well which was Durant's last team. Wally know's how to play these guys and I hope that BC can utilise that.
Stampeders @ Bombers, absolutely loving this game. Nicholls vs Mitchell, Stampeders not looking as good as they did last season and the Bombers with the bye were lucky against the Riders. Caught that game and if it wasn't for the Riders lazy defense, that game should have been there but I think the commentators said that the Bombers had scored 24 unanswered points in around 5 mins. Dressler carved them up. Expecting another small road fav here of maybe -2 or no more than -3. Stampeders defense needs to improve because Dressler/Nicholls combo looked good the other night.
Argonauts @ Redblacks: The game that I am going to least enjoy I think. The Redblacks in a massive letdown spot if you ask me, coming off 2 games vs the Stampeders and actually 3 if you count last years Grey Cup. They now have to plan for the Argonauts who looked good vs the Tiger Cats but not so good against the Lions. This line IMHO will be around -6 Redblacks but I think that might be a lot for this Argonauts. Road dogs that are coming off a home fav loss in a divisional game are 41-19 ATS and 32-28 S/U so I do have a heavy lean on the Argonauts.
Tiger Cats @ Riders: Now this game is an absolute head doer.. The Cats rested after bye, the Riders were in that game vs the Bombers the entire way about from a 3Q meltdown which allowed the Bombers back into the game. Glenn for me isn't the Riders answer. Collaros needs more support and protection in this game from his players. This game could be a PK if not -1 either way. Tough game to call, the Riders are so hard to back because they make so many silly mistakes and are not well disciplined yet the Ti-Cats are also in the same basket. I used to love this team and highly regarded Collaros as a premium QB but they need to improve dramatically..
BOL this week everyone, the season is definitely up and running

Toronto Argonauts @ Ottawa Redblacks: Argonauts +5.5
As mentioned above before, road dogs against a divisional rival off a home fav loss are 41-19 ATS. Not just the trend which is a strong one, I do like what the Argo's are trying to achieve this season. Will take the dog in this game as I think the Redblacks are in a letdown game after 2 massive games vs the Stamps.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Saskatchewan Roughriders: Riders-1.5
Mr Jones tore his players a new one after their dismal display last game vs the Bombers in what all I could really say was a massive defensive issues in the 3Q. They had that game in their control, and then allowed the Bombers back into it. Well unfortunately for the Riders, they head to Calgary next in Week 5 (have the bye next week) and this schedule doesn't get easier. This is a big call by me but if they lose this game, they can almost already count their season over as they have the following coming up..
Week #4 Bye
Week #5 @ Stampeders
Week #6 vs Argonauts
Week #7 @ Lions
Week #8 vs Lions
Week #9 Bye
Week #10 @ Eskimos
Week #11 vs Bombers
Week #12 @ Bombers
So looking at all those games from week 5 to 12, they may only have a decent chance to beat the Argonauts. That is a brutal schedule coming up for them and I am taking them vs the Ti-Cats because what I saw out of the Ti-Cats on opening weekend was terrible. The Riders haven't been amazing either and especially with Glenn not hitting the spot too often but against a very weak Ti-Cats defense (looks even worse from last season) I will take the Riders to get their first win before hitting that very ugly schedule.
