CFL vs. NFL

Thanks for the advice CoversLane, 45 yr old drunk guys passing out in the 3rd quarter will never match the time at a Washington Redskins preseason game when i saw a drunk woman piss herself on the way out of the stadium. There is a good chance im going to make the trip to Mosaic stadium to catch a game this season. I was thinking about going to Hamilton for the opener this year as it's only an 8 hour drive from Maryland but i decided i wanted to go see a home game.

Im a fan of mixed martial arts and i listen to a radio show at sherdog.com called the Jordan Breen show, he is a canadian from Halifax and anytime Regina is mentioned he goes on for a minute or two about how much of a hell hole it is, looking forward to seeing it for myself. I once had to spend a few days in West Virginia and i cant imagine any place being as depressing as that. If Regina is as bad as people say i guess that would explain why the Riders get such good fan support at road games, so many natives couldn;t take it there anymore so they had to move to other parts of Canada but still show up to represent their hometown when the Riders come to town.

Part of the problem is that the regular season games aren't as important as they should be.  In an 8 team league where 6 teams qualify for the playoffs, there is a lot more margin for error especially when the regular season is 18 games.  It gets tiresome watching the same teams play each other week after week.

This is what I like about the NFL - the regular season games are more meaningful and if you don't get your shit sorted out you will be SOL.
