I'm pretty salty with the command center, Brett Lauther, and the officiating. Getting pretty hard to watch the CFL at times, going to keep my writeups shorter and to the point. NFL is right around the corner.
The top two teams in the west (Sask, BC) are 0-7-1 in the last month!
SK +2.5 @ TOR The Riders got screwed not only by the refs again last week (PI near the end of the game was BS) but Lauther going 3/6 on FGs and Montreal returning one missed FG for a TD hurt. The Riders should of handily won this game. Bane dropping another pass in the redzone setting up a 3rd down and the missed FG for a TD. Now Corey Mace is going back to where he used to coach last year. He knows the Argos well.
Toronto is coming off their bye week. Teams are 7-2-1 coming off the bye this year. Kelly is starting after being suspended the 1st 9 games and being forced to apologize. What a disgrace and the Argos should be ashamed for letting this man play. I hope Kelly plays worse then Rourke did. The Riders defense is going to feast on Kelly being rusty and not playing in live action all year. It will take much longer to get going beyond this game and playing against the Riders D is not a good place to start. Henderson is out which is a good thing as he has been a liability in the secondary. Picton and Ouellette is out and Schaffer-Baker is questionable. Riders are leading the league in +14 turnovers. Montreal is 2nd with +7. The Riders are winless in their last 4 games but still 1st place in the West. Riders win and cover. 28-24 Riders
HAM @ WPG -9.5 Hamilton got crushed again. Powell is injured. Mark Washington (defensive coordinator) got fired and Chris Jones is replacing him. That means this team has changed QBs and both defensive and special team coordinators in the last 2 months. This team is a mess and is unbettable. Winnipeg's only sort of real weakness on D is their run defence which I don't think Hamilton can exploit.
Winnipeg's defense is looking ridiculous. Winnipeg leads the league in points against and is worst in the league in points for. Yet here they are at 4-6 with 2 huge wins and winning the season series against BC, now only 3 points out of 1st place in the West. Bighill is doubtful. Winnipeg wins and covers. 30-13 Bombers
BC @ OTT +1 I wasn't expecting Rourke to play THAT bad. He won't be that much better in 1 more week against a top defence in the league. The Lions are on a short week and have to fly out east. Ottawa hasn't lost a game since week 5 and BC hasn't won a game since week 6. What is happening.
Ottawa looks really good. Their defence is great, and Masoli played really well. Armstead is the RB they needed. Dru Brown practised in full and is taking 1st team reps so he will start. I like Ottawa's defence to shut down Rourke and Stanbeck and for Ottawa to not have much trouble moving the ball against a falling BC defense. Ottawa is 4-0 at home. Ottawa wins and covers. 24-20 RedBlacks

EDM @ MTL -6.5 Edmonton has won 3 in a row but we aren't sure on Tre's status for this game. Either way I like Montreal. Edmonton doesn't have the defence nor experienced enough offense to keep up with Montreal.
Austin Mack returns and Fajardo is starting for Montreal. Not a good sign for Edmonton. Montreal got super lucky winning last week and this week they shouldn't have much trouble to win and cover. Even if Ford plays the Montreal defence will be too much for him. Montreal wins and covers. 33-19 Alouettes
TEASERS: 15-5 (18-5 including my 2nd pick when only betting 1 teaser game) TEASER: 7pts
SK +9.5 I love the Riders to win and Kelly to show his rust against a turnover machine defense. Even if the Riders lose, they aren't losing by more then a FG. SK +9.5 is a safe bet.
WPG -2.5 I like the Bombers to win by double digits and they just need to win by a FG here.
MTL +0.5 I also like the Alouettes to win by double digits and they just need to win here.
Montreal stays put with a very fortunate win over the Riders Ottawa jumps over the Riders with a huge win on the road Saskatchewan drops 1 spot after losing to Montreal Toronto stays at 4 coming off a bye Winnipeg jumps up 2 spots with another dominant win against BC and winning the season series BC is in freefall mode and dropped down another spot with their 4th loss in a row Edmonton moved up 1 spot winning their 3rd in a row against the worst team in the league Calgary drops 2 spots after losing 2 games in a row and not looking great on both sides of the ball Hamilton stays in last losing again and their 3rd in a row
Good luck!
