Edmonton +....??
I'm going to wait and see if the BC/New stadium hype pushes this to 6.
Big game for the Lions here who open up their new stadium which if you haven't seen any previews yet looks absolutely awesome. Unfortunately for the players with all the hype, unveiling, big crowd expected, new settings and surroundings, and their great recent play all of the pressure and all of the spotlight will be squarely on BC. That's simply not good because time and time again we've seen how this team responds to pressure and it's usually in the form of vomiting on themselves. The Lions are also off two huge road wins where they basically locked up a playoff spot as they sit two games up on Saskatchewan and have all the tiebreakers.
Meanwhile on the other side no one is paying attention to Edmonton. They had a bad home loss last week and amid all the hype for the Lions the Eskies quietly sneak in under the radar and healthy and IMO will steal a win. This team is 4-1 SU & ATS this year as road dogs with the lone loss coming when they spent the week on the road and all the receivers were hurt in Montreal so we can basically throw that game out. Edmonton, Calgary, and BC aren't that much different from each other which is probably why when any of those teams have met this year the dog is 5-2 ATS.
