The Ti-Cats edged out the RedBlacks on short rest with the 1st half being all defense (9 total points) and 2nd half all offense (42 points scored), the Argos continued their winning ways and crushed the Alouettes, the Riders looked like a High School team and got absolutely annihilated like expected by the Bombers and the Elks edged out the Stamps in what was a very similar game like the week before with different outcomes.
All picks moneyline:
TORONTO
The Argos continue to roll, winning 4 games in a row and clinching a playoff spot in the process. They can almost clinch the East division with a win over the Alouettes this week! Kelly had a decent game last week throwing for 278 yards but no TDs and Ouellette scored 2 TDs and added 105 yards on the ground on 19 attempts. Kelly spread the ball out to all of his WRs last week. This is also the 3rd game in a row where Toronto hasn't allowed a single sack on Kelly. I need to mention something about the Argos that a lot of people are overlooking: their easy schedule. Let's break it down: so far this year the Argos have played Hamilton 3x, Montreal 2x (and play them again this week), Calgary 2x, Ottawa 1x, Edmonton 1x, Saskatchewan 1x and BC 1x. Other then BC their schedule has been very easy. Now let's look at their remaining schedule: Montreal, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Ottawa, Sask, Ottawa. The only tough game remaining is against Winnipeg and maybe Sask on the road. Toronto will end the season only playing BC and Winnipeg once a piece. No doubt Toronto is a great team, but their schedule has something to do with it too. What terrible scheduling by the CFL. There are only 9 teams in the league and some teams only play each other once and other teams up to 4 times. Brutal.
The only chance Montreal has in this game is pound the ball with Stanbeck and they sure as heck didn't do that last week. TWO rushing attempts for Stanbeck last week, the same amount as Fajardo! That is not going to win you games especially against the Argos. Sure you can say this could be a letdown spot for the Argos after clinching a playoff spot last week, but there is still 7 games remaining and Toronto/Kelly are the type to not let the foot off the gas. Especially Dinwiddie, he is intense and won't let up. I can't see the Argos resting guys already this week when the East division is still not 100% sealed. Closer game then last week, but Argos still take it relatively easily. Montreal is on a 3 game losing streak losing to Winnipeg, BC and Toronto losing by an average of 23 points!
31-23 Argos
