Bo Levi Mitchell looks washed and Chad Kelly impressed me last week. Moving on!
All picks moneyline:
WINNIPEG Not going against Winnipeg until further notice. Collaros and that offense is playing lights out. Jeffcoat is out, Oliveira is doubtful and Schoen is questionable but will likely play. As for BC they'll be without Dominique Rhymes. I am liking what I'm seeing out of Vernon Adams but I need to see more of it and some consistency which he was always lacking.
HAMILTON This game could go either way...we still have only seen 1 game from Montreal and they barely squeaked by a terrible Ottawa team. Bo Levi won't be playing but this is a good thing for the Ti-Cats. Shiltz can move around in the pocket and run if needed and will add a jolt into their sputtering offense. Hamilton's defense has been awful thus far but Montreal aren't world beaters on offense either. Montreal's best bet in this game is to run it down the Cats throat with Stanbeck. Toughest game of the week.
SASKATCHEWAN The Green Riders have impressed me so far this year. They have a great defense (minus the game last week against the Bombers, but they are on another level) and Trevor Harris has impressed me so far. Calgary is not the same Calgary of old, their defense is not as good and I am not a believer in Jake Maier. The Riders are missing 3 WRs (Schaffer-Baker, Walker, Lenius) but their fill ins have been solid. Calgary will likely be without 2 WRs (Begelton and Henry). The Riders have the better QB and better defense. It is the battle of the head coach brothers as well in this one, Dave Dickenson (Calgary) is 5-2 against his brother Craig (Riders).
TORONTO Toronto looks great, Chad Kelly looks good, their defense is solid and they were missing a few key guys. How can you not take Toronto in this one. Edmonton is terrible and starting Cornelius again. He will have a short leash and could get pulled in favor of Tre Ford who can run and create/extend plays. Edmonton's home losing streak has now hit 18 games. They got shut out last week, that has to sting and hurt the ego. You'd think they play better.
