CFL Week 4 Early thoughts

EDM@BC   : BC 1 day rest adv.

MTL@TOR  : MTL 2 day rest adv.

WPG@CGY : CGY 6 days rest adv.

HAM@OTT  : OTT 3 day rest adv.

This BC game scares me, not to mention it starts at my bedtime!

Adams Jr practised yesterday but not today.  Listed as questionable?

MBT complaining about the short week.

Speaking of that CGY coming off a bye week.  Last year this was a good spot in the CFL.

Slow start this season.

CGY has a 6 day rest adv for this week's game vs WPG.  I have already bet CGY +3.5 for this game, reduced juice.  If it goes to 4 I will bet more.  That rhymes.

HAM@OTT last game Sunday night.  So week 1 OTT was on a bye & the reporters did not have much to talk about.  So Shawn Burke GM for OTT started talking about how this is one of the biggest games of the year for OTT?  Basically it is their version of a Canada day game.  Huge fireworks all kinds of activities before & after the game.  Players & their families together for this game.  He said the team is making this game a priority for the organization!!  The players have been told!  OTT has a 3 day rest advantage for this game.  HAM goes home week 5 & OTT travels to WPG.  Revenge game for WPG.  These 2 teams meet again in week 15 & 21.  Not saying OTT will win but...

Still looking at the MTL game.

MY goal now is to just break even this season.

BC and total over for most of the top pickers in king of covers contest.  Coach says quarterback Adams is playing.  Not much time for Edmonton to prepare.

CGY coming off a Bye, 17 games since 2016, 11 - 6 - 0 SU.

There are a number of pro handicappers and they are all on BC -6 and the over 52.

A lot of line moves for this game.  BC -8, down to -6, back to -7.5 now -7.

I have to be careful, so no play for me side or total.

If I can stay awake I will bet on the 2nd half.

I used to be able to find day of the week but not recently, hmm, I liked that stat.

EDM win by 5-10 pts.   43 total games since 2016, 14 - 29 - 0 SU. This season,  0 - 1 - 0 SU.  Last season,  2 -3 - 0 SU.  0 - 6 SU 2022 season.

EDM Sweet Spot is 0-4 points and it is not great.  16-15 SU. 

EDM first 9 games since 2016,  28-38 SU.  This season 0-3 SU.  0-9 last season.  Now this team is completely different this season!

VS BC since 2016, 9-10-0 SU.  This season 0-0, last season 0-3 SU.

I was listening to a pod and they were speculating about Adams Jr and his abominable injury?

If it is his rib cage, muscle tear, cracked rib or 2, that is going to be huge moving forward for BC.

I want to see if he is wearing a flak jacket under that shirt.

Maybe Adams was just throwing up a little bit.  One never knows, lol.
