Perfect situation for books to clean up on recreational gamblers.
3-0 Montreal hosts 0-3 Saskatchewan after destroying Toronto and this same Roughriders team, while Saskatchewan got humiliated and destroyed by previously winless Hamilton last week. Actually, the Roughriders have been dominated by everyone they faced this season.
However, this game is huge for them. They can kiss their playoffs hopes goodbye with a 0-4 start, and this opponent is the perfect motivation to give 100%. First of all, Montreal beat them in last two Grey Cup finals, and then also beat them earlier this season, but no one can say that Saskatchewan wasn't competitive in those games. The two Grey Cup losses were very close, by 1 and 3 points, and then earlier this season Saskatchewan was actually tied at 17 against Als' 5 minutes into the third quarter. That's actually the best effort by Saskatchewan this season as they trailed Hamilton 30-0 midway thru the third period, and against Edmonton they trailed by 7+ almost the entire game. Montreal had a much easier job against Toronto and BC than against Saskatchewan. They led by as many as 17 in the third against BC and by as many as 13 against Toronto in the 3rd quarter.
Take away two Grey Cup meetings and this season's meeting in week 1 and you'll see that they also had two more close meetings in last 5. One decided in overtime (SSK win) and another one decided by 4 points (MTL win).
Saskatchewan is a team built to win on the road and before their loss at Hamilton last week they were 12-4 ATS in previous 16 road dog games.

You make a good case for the Riders, and they should definitely be motivated, especially considering the somewhat surprising release of Kornegay this week.
However, given the fact that an 8-10 team has made the playoffs for the last 4 years, you can't really say this is a must win. If the Lions can start 1-7 and make the playoffs, Sasky can make a comeback, especially when they won't have to face Montreal again this year.
GL with your play.

I think you fell into the recreational gamblers trap. Ask 10 people who they would take...Sask +11.5 or Montreal -11.5. I bet a majority (of these recreational BETTORS) say Sask +11.5...........

Not sure about 20 but they will certainly cover the posted number. Riders are a team in complete disarray right now. They just do not have the players that can compete with the Als. Consider that even when when they have a GOOD team they struggle in MTL winning only twice there since 2009. The release of Kornegay this week and Mulinder's subsequent "gasket popping"....well let's just say their heads aren't where they need to be heading into this matchup. Lance Frazier's interview tonight sounded like he was defeated already when talking about trying to cover JRich and Green.
Play the Riders at your own risk.....personally I'm passing as I see much better value in EDM/CAL and WPG/TOR

I think the smarter play here is the OVER 56. It's a high total, but the Riders secondary won't be able to stop AC and crew. Their pass rush is weak, and AC will have all day to pick them apart. Als should easily surpass the 30+ total here.
On the flip side, I do expect an inspired effort from the Green Riders on offense. Durant isn't as bad as he looked last week, and still has weapons in Getlaf, Dressler, and Wes Cates.
Montreal 34 - Sask 24

I'm on Sask just for the simple reason no one seems to be on them and acting like they shouldn't even show up. Simply a contrarian pick and the dogs have been barking loud this weekend, 11.5 is a lot of points.

i laughed my ass off all week long as it was obvious to me that most people touting montreal never watched a cfl game. i am a montreal season ticket holder and a big cfl fan for the past 45 years and i just knew that this game will be a public bloodbath.

It was a public blood bath, but the sharp money was on SASK. This line was as high as -12 early in the week and i saw it -10.5 at some spots on game day. Believe me the books needed Montreal to cover for their bottom line.
