I have to admit, I myself drank the 'Manziel' kool-aid, even after discovering that Hamilton had blown them out in 4 str @ Mont, Mont had the worst defense in CFL, etc. So, guess it shows you, even at my age you can get into a gullible type situation ( it seemed like the bookies were fishing, and 'Johnny Football' was the lure). Also, this was just a terrible game to be on ESPN, in a way (guess you can't put all the blame on Johnny: this team is terrible!).

Montreal is 2-16 ATS in its last 18 and now everyone will be jumping ship. Watch these lines going forward. Montreal is going to be 50% ats the rest of the year or very close.

The media makes sure he starts before he is ready. If he didnt play this week all the questions would have been why not?
Is he done? Well that will depend on the coaches and how well he listens to the coaching. Am I confident ? Nope

Okay, do I like Manziel? Absolutely not! Do I want to see anyone go out and have the game he and his team had? Yes, Ohio State and Notre Dame every game they play! He should be playing back up QB in Buffalo of the AFL if anywhere now. He was given multiple opportunities with A&M because of his behavior, multiple opportunities with the Browns for behavior and performance and could take advantage of any of them. Why would an Als organization not only give him a chance but put him on the field that quickly? Money? They put him on the field for a poorly calculated risk. If he performs well his being on the field will fill many seats, generate much more interest in sponsorship, and increase merchandise sales through the roof. There risk was a big loss, as the crowd reacted in a loud and unhappy way. The announcers tried to convince the audience that it was just the beginning and he'll get much better with time and comparing his first game to that of HOFers Doug Flutie, Anthony Calvillo, and others who's first games were not 3 INT's in the first half and then to the bench. This guy is poison everywhere he goes and if they stay with him as bad as they are it will set the Montreal franchise back over a decade. Release him and pay him if you must and be glad it's not cleveland type money.
