Maybe we should just start a universal WEEK 4 PICKS thread instead of everyone having their own?
Nonetheless, on to business:
BC Lions ML
Tiger Cats are pretenders. Tabbies were given a short field via turnovers and special teams on over 50% of their drives. While I won't take anything away from the Cats D, the score was more indicative of how bad Saskatchewan was. Glenn was mediocre at best. Can the Lions start the season 0-4... YES... will they... NO. Running the football? What's that? Chapdelaine is stretching the field with this aggressive receiving corps, and I like that. Lulay is maturing, and isn't afraid to scramble, which will keep the Cats LB's (IMO the best in the league) at bay in a spy position. Lions win this home at home.
Calgary/Edmonton OVER
Ricky Ray is locked in and the Stamps don't have the front four, or the secondary to knock him off his game. Conversely, the Stamps are at home, and do have the weapons to test a young and aggressive Eskies defense. We have yet to see a strong game from Burris and I think this is the week for it.
LEAN...
Montreal/Saskatchewan OVER
AC and crew will score their points against this putrid Riders defense. No question. However, I have a tough time believing that this Riders offense is this bad? Yes, they lost Fantuz, but still feature some good talent with Getlaf, Dressler, and Cates. There is a real sense of urgency here, and win or lose, we see a better performance from the Riders this week.
Best of luck to all
