When I read SSK is starting their 3rd string QB, I had to take TOR.

Yes SSK is at home and playing with revenge from last week.

I don't even care about Covid.

I simply cannot back a 3rd string rookie QB in the CFL.

How many times have I seen this play out.  Rookie starts or comes into the game. 

The guy does OK for 1 or 2 set of downs...AND then it is all downhill from there!!

I have seen this play out year after year.

I did like the way this game was setting up for SSK initially.  Not now.

History has taught me the talent level drops off significantly, once teams in the CFL, are forced to go to the 2nd and 3rd string QB's.

Knowing all this, if I backed SSK in this new spot and they lose by double digits, where does this leave me?

Have I learned nothing in the last 15 years watching the CFL!

If SSK wins this game so be it.  I will eat my hat.

I have to go with what I know.  As soon as I hear backup QB, I am on the other side.

I am 0-3 so far in my posted picks so

Due to game being postponed, my Sask pick on Pinnacle got cancelled.  I'd like to make a play on the game though but logic and reality don't always match up.  It's like this past week while reading the financial since a lot of quarterlies are being reported, I've seen companies who failed in expectations whose stock price go up and companies whose expectations were exceeded and their stock goes down.  That is reality with no logic (and we all aren't privy to inside information like Paul Pelosi).  So do you use logic in this crazy cfl world?  You'd think everyone would be on Argos since they are mostly whole and won last week....  The line should be at least +3.5 and only because Sask is at home.  Logic says Toronto covers by at least 2 touchdowns.  Logic is not reality so I am going to be rooting with green machine fans today as originally planned but only jump in the betting pool if Sask's odds go up before the game.  If it goes to +3, I am jumping in with Sask ML on a small play high reward scenario.

SSK to win by 7 or more and this game to go over 47.

Only one of those truths will come true.

I still think TOR has a significant advantage in this game.

Why not TOR wins and covers and the game goes over to balance things out.

Well Chef. Sask is at +3 so I pulled the trigger.  Little on ML and little more on +3. 

However, I just got back from an enduro trip on the bike to a watershed dam off the grid to toss a line.  The gravel road leading me in was full of potholes where you could loose a VW beetle in easily.  My thought was great!  Maybe I'll have some seclusion, chit chat with the good Lord for awhile, and pull out some big rainbows in the process.  Travelling along, I saw some hydro lines and an even more beaten path that appeared to lead down to the river and maybe the hydro dam (never been there before).  I stared at that beaten path and said nahhh. It was at least a 45 degree narrow incline; I am at least 30km off a decent road where I seen my last vehicle;  and finally, and most importantly, I am old and not a kid anymore.  However, it appears I still retained my stupid trait since I turned around and decided to go down that crazy path.  After all, I am a gambler aren't I?  Not a wise choice.  The path ended 1/4 mile in with no place to turn around and just putting on the brakes caused bike to slide endlessly on the gravel.  I was convinced that HELL has finally zeroed in on me and today was the day.  I was fuked.  I also realized my strength has left this old shell of a man and getting that KLR650 turned around might not happen.  I literally panicked when I stopped and fully realized the situation.  I seemed I wasn't feeling the presence of the Lord either but the presence of bears was a definite possibility.              In the end, I scrapped my shin badly.  I came as close as a person could to dumping the bike and watching in tumble into the abyss.  But, I got out though.  It was hard to catch my breathe and I questioned my true sanity.  I decided the safety of my own couch watching a football game should have been the only choice for today. 

With all that said and me limping and wounded and the record I have so far this week, I think your Toronto pick might be golden Chef.  Enjoy the steak and the game.

It looked like either the biggest trap or the biggest lock of the year, but I went ahead with the too-obvious Argos -1.5 dominating the stat sheet but not so much on the scoreboard so far, so good though
