Didn't watch the game between the Argos and Als.....and I don't feel the need....what I've thought about a Willy-led team came true....he is what I thought he was. And the sooner whoever is coaching the Argos realizes this the better, that is, if he likes having a job.
And the thing is, they've wasted a pretty valuable draft pick on him, so they'll feel obligated to justify their decision, so I don't see him sitting on the end of a long bench anytime soon, so the next six games will go up in flames for Toronto....I'd say they'll probably cut Ricky Ray and may spend a couple of years in a Winnipeg Blue Bomber-like quagmire looking for a quarterback. Dan LeFevour was serviceable and could make plays with his arm, legs and heart, so not to play him will come back to haunt the Argos.
Ahhhh! Feel better now to get that off of my chest. I am off the Argos indefinitely, and, even if they'd schedule the Little Sisters of the Poor for an exhibition game you could not get me to play them.
For four games I am using off my regression calculations as plays. It has worked relatively well this year considering that this is the first year I've bet cold hard cash on CFL games.
1) BC +1-
Backing Wally once again, even though I feel that the Peggers are the second best team in the league. Jennings can be erratic and my talking dog tells me that he'll be brilliant in Winnipeg. Grab the eentsy beentsy point and a half.
2) Saskatchewan/Ottawa OVER 53-.
The Sasquatches have gotten themselves out of the huge hole of despicable play to start the year, there is hope for them going forward into next year. Ottawa can score points and can't stop anyone. 59-48 final score.
3) BC/Winnipeg OVER 55-.
Footballs will be flying all over the place. Playing it OVER.
4) Toronto/Calgary UNDER 52.
Maybe they'll both just hand the ball off the whole game and then punt. UNDER it.

Still 5 weeks left in this season. Love it. Congrats on an amazing season mate. Fantastic.
Thoughts about Eskimos @ Alouettes? I lean the Alouettes as I think the new coaching changes was what the team and players needed. They smoked the Argo's last week and face the Eskimo's who did smoke the Bombers but we expected that result. I think the Als can win this game as the Eskimos are just not as good as they are made out to be.

Good luck Indigo.

Home non divisional dogs have been 60-37-1 ATS......48-50 straight up through the years.....and to add to that.....
HD and not DIV and n:D and on:D
So, yeah, I like their chances....we have a couple of chances on the Monday games and even if I was totally out of my mind I couldn't envision ever taking the Argos at this point in time.

Maybe kicking Popp upstairs has released a genie from the bottle and some semblance of a professional offense might occur. Their defense/special teams are playoff caliber.
Myself and the powers that be now officially release the Als from the list of "how could we possibly bet on you?" teams, to the list of "hmmm, they might be worth a look this week" outfits.

Do you have any SDQL's that made you decide to take the Lions tomorrow or just a hunch? I lean the other way with the Bombers coming off 2 straight losses and needing a win big time seeing that they are 3rd in the division and the Eskimo's not too far behind them...

Well Ozman, I'd like to think that I don't play hunches.
My six game regression calculations has Winny a 7 point favorite, therefore BC is the play.
AD and n:HF and o:team=no:team and DIV
Thanks for the reply Indigo. This is going to be one hell of a game IMHO. Most likely the game of the week. BC sitting in 2nd, BB's 3rd but the Lions have only played 13 games compared to BB's 14. BB's head to BC after this game for a re-match and then a double header vs the Redblacks. Lions have BB's again next week in BC and then Eskimos and then Riders x 2.
