MON/SAK OVER ??? (im going to wait if/WHEN the line keeps dropping)
SAK defense is going through a major transition/simplification (whatever you want to call it) and is brutal allowing 42 points to Edmonton last week. Montreal offense is polished and is way ahead of its defense at this point and can probably name its score.
PLAY #2 for Week 2
HAM/EDM over ??? (im going to wait if/WHEN the line keeps dropping)
HAM had a decent first half and then sputtered in the second half. There is still talent here and it might take a game to mesh together. They should play inspired in Game 2 and Kevin Glenn better put his arm where his mouth is after calling out his coach. I don't think the patchwork defense of EDM is any long-term solution but they did hold SAK to "just" 28 points last week to win
Play #3 for Week 2
Calgary at BC Lions OVER ???
BC Lions offense looked fluid through the air against Montreal and Calgary will have the most explosive offense in the league. If this number keeps dropping I will gladly take this play
I still like my teams in essential Pick Em contests but these are just my opinions not any official plays quite yet
BC -1.5
Toronto +1.5
Montreal -2 at SAK
Hamilton +1.5 at Edmonton

I hate to come off as arrogant and say " I told you so " concerning your HAM/EDM point spread prediction for WEEK 2. You had HAM pegged as a 7 point favorite without seeing any action in WEEK 1. That's a differential of 8.5 points to the actual line.
Football point spreads are adjusted from week to week especially early on in the season. I'm not disagreeing that HAM is a better team and i don't have a lean on this game, but if i had to force pick it. I'd go with the TICATS because of the adjustment.
Most Sports Bettors have short term memory and that's why the line is usually biased towards the previous weeks result. What i mean is if you ask most people who won last week , you can probably get a quick response of the top of your head. Ask who won two or three weeks ago and less than 10 % will remember who played and what the score was. That's because most people are recreational sports bettors.
Best of luck and looking forward to your thread.

I should have called them "projected margin of victory pre-season according to tommy covers" not "predicted point spreads"
I know that lines are biased towards the previous weeks result. That's why I pick the scores of the all the games in the preseason, to give me a tool to take that bias out of it
I do respect your opinions work and posts though please keep them coming and best of luck this season let's make some

Montreal played a perfect first offensive half of football last week, while the SAK defense is in disarray. Montreal must adjust its secondary after a big injury and find a way to stop QB Durant. But with the way its offense is rolling (ran the ball very effectively in 2 half last week), the Als should be able to pick their score.
MON/SAK OVER (still waiting but its at 54) 110/100

Toronto is solid in all three areas of the game and gets good QB play from Cleo Lemon. They have an outstanding defense and special teams. Calgary struggled last week, and I don't think Toronto is ready to win any shootouts. That said, if they control the ball and play solid defense I do think they have value on the road.
Still following the line but most likely will make this game a play this week.
The totals I originally sided with the under and that will probably be just an opinion this week.

Hamilton played a decent first half of football on offense last week and the D held up throughout (a Winnipeg TD return on Defense off INT changed momentum). Edmonton blew out a SAK team that is in disaray. Hopefully Hamilton HC will place a vote of confidence in Kevin Glenn as the clear-cut starter and the team can move forward and get back to winning games. There's too much football talent here. I still don't think patchwork solutions are a long-term fix in this league, but l like the coaching style of the EDM coach.
Hamilton: could be a play or strong opinion at this point

BC was very fluid offensively while Calgary struggled and has major injury concerns and replacements especially in the secondary. While Burris and the O will get on track eventually, and I wouldn't be shocked if they rose up and won this game, I think BC wins in this spot more often than not. Small home favorites are never a bad play.
