I took my handle from the XFL and this week TSN.CA featured an interesting article on all the ex and current Argos associated with that league and especially the LA Extreme who won its one and only championship. I thought I'd include that link above for shits 'n giggles. I actually made a good chunk of coin 'capping that league and was kind of sad to see it go as off the wall as it was. Guess that marks me as a true degenerate.
Any way on to this week's games.
TOR has not travelled well to BC for a long time. In fact the ONLY team from the East to win in BC on that 10 pm time slot is the Ticats who has done it 3X...2000, 2004 and 2010.
I realize TOR is playing well and off a bye, Harris is doing his best Ricky Ray imitation throwing at a 75 % accuracy clip and the team is def solid and the best spread cover team in the league so far. However, BC is for real and just won a tough home and home series vs. SSK (a team whom has lost all 4 games by a total of 12 pts.) and Lulay is already hot which usually takes him a few games into the season and the punting leg of Leone is buying the opposition really lousy field position. BC needs to tighten up the yards against and both of these teams are giving up most yards in the league taking # 1 and # 2 respectively explaining the high total for tonite. Historically these two often play to the under. I do not like the total at all in this game but I really like BC at home with the soft # of 2.5 where it sits now in what will prolly be a 28-22 kind of game.
BC -2.5 6 UNITS
OTT has a strong pass defence and are carrying on from what was a stingy "D" last year that just needed an offence to help it out on the field. They just got waxed 69-29 in a home and home series vs. the Esks whose defence already looks ferocious. LY they got beat 70-24 in both games vs. the Stamps. Considering Bo Levi Mitchell is still to find his rhythm and Cornish got unleashed last week; I see the same happening again tonite where the All-Canadian RB goes off in a game where OTT will wish it was only 3 Q long as they hang in there but the Boys from the West will pull away and win by 11-17.
