Well guys split 2 same size plays last night as UAB won but I got AZ at 12.5 and they won by 12. 1-1 day -$60 4-2 on the season +$1,640. Had gotten to it earlier I would've gotten it at 12 and gotten a push but if you saw the Boise-AZ game for awhile there it didn't look good for AZ. Looking to bounce back today and my play is:
Pitt -15.5 for $440
Both Detroit and Pitt are coming off wins over lower level cupcakes. Detroit beat Central State 88-65. Pitt after their game being cancelled vs Gonzaga traveled 16,500 miles home and destroyed St Joseph's of Indiana 84-43
When you dig deeper in both squads wins Detroit did force 17 turnovers yet they turned it over 25 times and only had a 36-34 edge in points in the paint. Pitt utterly dominated St Joseph's of Indiana{Does Coach Dixon realize its better for the RPI and SOS to play St.Joseph's.....of Pennsylvania?}They held them to 20.8% shooting 2nd best effort in Pitt history. Had a 56-35 edge on the glass, 44-7 in bench points. Young and Jeter for Pitt had double-doubles
Detroit is 20-66 all time vs ACC schools. They last beat an ACC school in 1992. They've lost 14 RD openers in a row the last win coming vs Chicago State in 2000. We all know Pitt's success at HM under Dixon and with the Gonzaga game not being played this could screw them come NCAA tourney time
Pitt's advantage is in the low post because Detroit really doesn't have a low post threat which could bite them in the Horizon League this year. This isn't a bigger play because this is the 2nd game for Pitt off the Japan trip and Pitt was 0-6 ATS to end LY. I see this as 70-51 type of game
