Battle of the bookworms tonight in the Ivy League. Princeton comes in 14-5{4-1 in the Ivy League} 2-0 last week the last game an 83-70 win over Dartmouth. Cornell comes in at 9-11 {2-4 in the Ivy League} 0-2 last week losing the game 83-52 at Yale. Battle between the Ivy League's #1 offense in Princeton at 78.9 PPG vs the Ivy's worst defensive team in Cornell who allows 77.5 PPG
The Cornell HC Bill Courtney has never had much going since taking over as his Ivy school as been the 1 most affected with players graduating early and then leaving for other schools. For those unaware when you graduate from an Ivy League school you are then ineligible for Ivy League sports. So guys like Dwight Tarwater,Galal Cancer,Shonn Miller ETC have moved on. Only 2 kids in Courtney's 6 years stayed and graduated in 4 years
Princeton was my pick to win the Ivy League this year. They lead the all time series vs Cornell 142-80. For Cornell for them to keep games close they try to force a ton of turnovers and why they do that is in part the PPG allowed but they are also the worst rebounding team in D-1 allowing opponents to have 40.6 rebounds a game.Princeton is a much better ball handling team so I don't see them turning it over in bunches
Princeton themselves is a very good rebounding team as well as 3 point shooting team. While they could stand to be better at the foul line shooting 68.5% Cornell is 330th in Free throw percentage at 63.4%. I like Princeton to come away with a 2 touchdown win as they try to keep pace with Yale and Columbia
BOL guys Your thoughts are welcome
