I have a couple rules for betting college basketball that I follow, these rules keep me discipline and limit my bets.
- I never bet against the initial line movement. I liked ASU tonight, but line went from ASU +5 to +5.5 so that's a no play for me.
-I never bet on road teams.
-I never bet on favs of more than 6 pts(more than 2 shots)
-And I never bet with the public
*with all that said the majority of my bets are home underdogs with reverse line movement.
- I pick out my spots before the lines are up and wait and see if the line movement follows.
Tonight: After SMU beat Cincy at home and became ranked for the first time in a very long time I looked to see if their next game was a road game. Which indeed it is. So we got SMU, who is playing very well, but who is also ranked for the first time in awhile, probably smelling themselves and becoming popular on campus now traveling from Texas to the east coast to play a team their probably not taking seriously. Rutgers opened at +8 and now line has moved to Rutgers +7.5 with over 70% of bets on SMU, reverse line movement.
Rutgers +7.5 tonight.
I only have one unit, if it's worth betting it's worth betting, no variations. Not a lot of plays, hammer when I do is my model and I believe only way to be a successful bettor.
