Actually disagree here. The rule change doesn't benefit the offense. I remember watching this last year and in the original format.. once a team gets to 7 fouls say at the 8-10 minute mark.. you have free throws the rest of the way... the resetting of the fouls actually causes less free throws

Exactly. So if a team fouls 11 times in the new format.. it's possible that only results in 2 free throws. Whereas in the old format that could be 8-10 free throws
