Went 0-1 last night, bringing NIT to pretty much a break even. two points off from hitting the over. i wonder what is going to happen with sean miller. he really doesn't even have an excuse as to why their season sucked, unlike some of these sec coaches who suffered massive injuries. he just couldn't find a way to get his team motivated until it was too late...

finding much better success in the big dance. gonna lock this one in now. good luck everyone

Agreed about Sean Miller. Seeing Oregon in the sweet 16 again can’t be sitting right with the administration. Sean Miller’s situation is kind of like it was with Lorenzo Romar a few years back, where they didn’t want to risk the upcoming recruits. I also think Arizona will be careful making decisions going forward, since rival ASU’s program has made a big leap recently. Anyway, another guy I wonder about is Shaka Smart. Not the most patient fan base down there

i think we have seen shaka smart reach his peak performance with mo bamba. the guy is just mediocre. he would probably make a great mid major coach but i don't think he has the IQ or recruiting skills to hang in a power six school. he's the definition of mediocrity. every year that guy gets monsters forwards and centers and never does anything with them. who knows what arizona is going to do. as we can see, no one even wants to go there because they're so scared of what's going to happen with ncaa sanctions against archie. i know i wouldn't want to be involved in that if i was an athlete, especially if it had nothing to do with me. that's why i think the punishment to the school is stupid. why suspend the program? hit them where it hurts and fine or fire the academic association with the atheltic staff. don't make the kids suffer for something they didn't do.

ironically enough tot he shaka smart conversation, i'll be backing the long horns tonight. pac 12 is not a power conference anymore in my eyes, but technically they are so i may have spoke too soon. nevertheless, colorado is awful on the road and texas takes great pride in their teams no matter the situation, so they should be fired up today. the difference is night and day with the buffalo's turnovers and fouling problems on the road and i expect texas to take full advantage of that

mo & korf - good luck on the action, fellas. i just don't trust nc st offense to keep up with an experienced lipscomb team. i agree these aren't sexy picks today 

4fun - the best advice i can offer about your wager is playing within your means. i like this pick enough to put my max wager on it. i have also lost max wagers so it's not like this is something that i'm guaranteeing to win. i've won more than i lost, but they still lose. as to oregon, i'm not sure i understand the relevance between colorado's game with texas and oregon still in the sweet 16?

Been trying to stay away from hoops until Thursday, but I’m having a real difficult internal struggle to not hammer Lipscomb

Texas hasn’t impressed me through their first two NIT games. Took a 19-0 lead on SDSU before that one came down to the wire. Beat a good Xavier team in OT but that came down to the wire as well. Texas has seemed content with jacking up 3’s and I’m expecting another close finish tonight.

Good day, ODB. Your confidence in Lips convinced me to double down on them and it paid off. Was also able to hedge Colorado in-game and turn that into a profitable contest as well. If Texas jumps out to a big lead on TCU, I'm taking TCU and the points in-game in that one, too. 

 

I loved the Zags tomorrow but FSU's size concerns me. Zags haven't faced a team like that since December. Still waiting to pick a side in this one...
