Feeling the pain of the Bucs playoff loss more today. Being a diehard fan can really sukk sometimes. As our good buddy IA would say - 'good times'...
PVAM-APB over 164.5: Pine Bluff (KenPom, 15th fastest tempo out of 364 teams) rarely play a game under this total and should set the pace at home against a Prairie View team (33rd in tempo) that also likes to get out and run. The return of forward Doctor Bradley has only enhanced the offence for Pine Bluff, which prior to that basically just dashed down court and chucked up 3-balls. The good doctor gives the Lions a much-needed inside presence is averaging 32 points in his 2 games. APB's totals in those two games were 184 and 186. What could go wrong? Just look at my record not to mention Baker's botched handoff and Washington's bank-in winning field goal as time expired. Sometimes it's just in the cards. Anyhewwww .... 1.5 units on this one.

MVSU +17.5: Taking a flyer on these scrubs. It's hard to get a read on these SWAC teams because they all play non-conference road schedules against teams that are usually always better than them. MVSU just played their FIRST Div. 1 home game and gave a decent Prairie View team a good battle before falling by 9. Texas Southern got beat at home by Southern - expected to be among the top teams in the SWAC - and just got past Grambling at home in OT. Texas Southern has generally been a good team in the SWAC world in recent seasons which is possibly why they are getting this much love from Vegas, but I don't think they are any better than PVAM so I will ante up 0.5 units for them to show me what they got on the road against MVSU. Sometimes you can get some good value early in lower-level conference play. Hopefully this proves to be an example.
