Both teams are offensively skilled. Scores for both teams have reach in the 80s several time. But saw the number and it screamed under for me at first glanced…
did my dd, and here’s my reason…
Iowa PG is a a pass first player. I think it will be very difficult for to execute a very one dimensional skill vs a very sound backcourt defense. Turnovers will be created and 4 other players will need to step in with dribbling and executing. Iowa State does leave plenty of space for players to shoot the 3, but I think they already know Iowa is all about the deep ball. Playing a tight outside perimeter defense is the goal and I think Cyclones can execute it pretty well.
What worries me about the other side? State will score unwillingly. Didn’t take the full game total cause Iowa State does have tendencies to relax on defense.
I think State will play a physical game early, noise will be a factor, and both teams could struggle offensively early.
taking a small risk on the 1H under…
