Got up 2 hours ago to study the Florida/Houston game some. Matchups, schedules, etc…found something very intriguing with past Champions. I’ll share it on tomorrow’s post….
Had a few minutes to look over the today’s Championship game I respect a ton.
Why SC? SC took a beat down earlier in the season to UConn ending their 71 HOME WIN STREAK. I told myself that if these 2 ever meet in the tourney again it’ll be a much better outcome. Here we are.

Well that beatdown was kinda revenge for a few years ago in the title game think it was the year before Paige Buckets got hurt. She's been great and this is her senior season and the supporting cast is great, too with Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd. That counts a lot for me because the reigning champs have shown they can beat a team in a final with a superstar player like last year but UConn's offense and defense and quickness are superior overall to that Iowa team from last year IMO, which Uconn only lost to by a point. I actually faced Iowa and Clark in this spot last year but I'm gonna go with Paige this year.
I was happy we were on the same sides last night and it worked out, wish it was the same tonight but I don't think I'm gonna change my pick. It's tough to repeat in any league title game and tough to beat the best player in the country 2 years in a row in a title game. Paige has won Olympic titles and come back from injury to get here again after tasting defeat once I think she does what Clark couldn't do last year, to spark the debate about who is better.
There's no debate about who is better looking lol

Helluva call on Cougs moneyline. Only Houston could’ve pulled that off. Reminded me of their win in Allen Fieldhouse this year down 6 with like 19 seconds left. Strongest culture in the sport. Congrats on your big hit, you deserved it.
Don’t let the last play affect the next play

This is pretty odd that a 2 seed would be an overwhelming favorite to win the title over all the 1 seeds. It was UCONN vs field in the futures during the final 4. And to be giving this many pts to the team that won the national championship last year gives me pause.
Like last year I think Caitlin Clark was pickem or plus points? Not the case this year. 6.5 is a lot of points, but not really when every women's game has pretty much been a blowout cuz you've got a bunch of sloppy teams that go on long scoring droughts, while one team has that player that can get consistent buckets.

Thank you sir. Houston is a very special team. They won with focus & will power. Unbelievable how Coach Sampson recruited these non 5 star guys and got this far. We need more teams like Houston.
