Tonights Picks:
Providence -2.5 / ML - Providence gave KU a run for their money. Also a 6-1 record is nothing to take lightly. They have a bunch of great defense and offense. Their points speak for themselves, and this team SHOULD roll Boston very easily. The spread seems fishy low, but I'll take my chances.
Wyoming +5 - The spread is now lurking around +4.5 but buy the extra juice. This team has phenominal stats ranking in the top 10's in some categories. Far above SMU. SMU shouldn't be taken lightly either, but from a team playing as great as Wyoming, I wouldn't chance a failing team like SMU to win.
Kansas -7.5 - This line keeps going up and down, but Kansas is a top contender team. Florida seems to be very shaky. I know Florida is going to show up to this game, only because of the flack they've been taking for being so lousy lately, but Kansas is a serious team and a force to be reckoned with. I see them winning by double digits. Maybe a slow first half, but in the last 10minutes of the game, JayHawks will lock and load.
Connecticut -8.0-8.5 - Definatley a game worth looking at. Rumor has it that UConn will have all their top players back. Look for them to come out with all guns blazing after a few bad beatdowns. As a champion team right now, tonight is the night they prove their stuff.
Western Carolina +18.5 - I really really like this team this year. They haven't been winning, but they definatley keep games tight, and haven't been loosing by much. For a team who can easily toss up 65-75pts a game, Ill take +18.5 anyday. Both teams seem to be scoring the same amount of points, and with Minnesota's depth, I see them winning, but NOT by 18.5. Roll with Western.
Oklahoma -13.5 - I see OK having possibly a slow start against Mizzou, but see them showing up hard second half. Being at home should boost OK's morale, and should easily cover this spread over a mediocre Mizzou team.
Duquesne +8 - Pittsburgh is a solid team, but Duquesne has a very solid record and alot of high stats. I was surprised to see the line this high. I think Duq's defense will save them this game, and could even see them winning outright. Tought game to call, but I'm taking the points in this one. To good not to.
Quinnipiac +4 - Siena was very disappointing to watch their last few games. Sure they can shoot the lights out, but so can Quinn.
I see Quinn winning this game outright, having the better record. Don't get me wrong, Siena has been shooting very well and scoring alot of baskets, but Quinn needs this win, and will come out with everything they have. Look for them to upset this game, and keep it closer than you might think. ML could be an option here as well if you want to give up 4pts, but when their there, always take the free juice.
LEANS:
Kentucky -13.5 - This is a high spread. Both teams VERY good. I see Kentucky winning big at home though. They know who they are playing, and they want to show the nation who is Top Dog. First half might be close, but I see the second half being a blowout by KU. Look for them to roll Texas. Its a game i'm to leary to put money on, but I should be a shootout.
Louisville -30 - I can see Louisville rolling this game, but by 30? Not to sure. I think this is more of a huge mismatch between two teams, and Louisville is the huge favorite. I can almost see them "laying off" in this game, and taking it lightly, which may enable Florida to cover a 30 spread. Would stay away from this one.
I'd love to hear anyone's input on my assumptions. Could always use a little help getting better at capping. Thank for reading and hope any of this helps you all get a few wins. I went 10-2 on Wed night, and 4-2 last night. I'm a huge sucker for parlay bets, but singles seem to be the way to go at the moment. Best of luck to all of you tonight, and to VolStud and Coach and Aggie, been following you guys alot, amazing talent. Keep it up, you've all helped me a few times. Appreciate it.
Have a great night and lets kill the books tonight.
Cheers;
