Could we see a 16 beat a 1 this year?

I am serious! This is most evenly matched group with all teams vulnerable. I was high on Florida but not now. No inside game He can defend but not score. Too many jump shots. Kansas the same thing. If I had to pick one team it would be either IU or Gonzaga. But both are very beatable. This is most wide open tourney in a long time. I mean there are teams that are gonna squeeze and that could a long way in the tourney ie Tennessee and Baylor. Tenn plays great defense when motivated but sometimes cant score. Get hot shooters defending and rebounding they could beat anyone. Baylor may be the most underachieving team in country. Good big man great shooter and great point guard. Could go a long way. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't say most wide open in a long time. Whoever gets hot at the right time could on all the way to win. The tournament will remind of a few years ago when Connecticut beat Butler. Thoughts on this anyone?

Would make a good story but no it won't happen. I can definitely see a 12-14 seed making an upset depending on the bracket.

Ya that's not really much of a prediction, 12-14 seed upsets happen every year.

from what Lunardi is projecting on Espn.com i'd give Northeastern the best chance over Duke. But until i see a 16 beat a 1 i will not believe

Probably not simply because 2 of the team will have to play the play in game and the other 2 simply wont have the juice.

Now, the 13 and 14 & 15 seeds this year should be worth a strong look.

I can see a 12 seed making the final 4, its that wide open.

No worries, one of the things people forget about when talking about the weak 1 seeds, is how bad usually the 16s are. That never changes. Theres even sometimes a big difference in 15s and 16s. Some of these teams roll into tourney with a 12-18 record or whatever cuz they won the conf tourney only. Sometimes they hang tough, im sure 1 might again this year, but I don't see any winning. Just looking at lunardis brackets when he updates them he has mercer, texas southern and Robert morris.

Im still seeing his bracket from march 1. I don't see duke/northeastern but he has Kansas/northeastern, Gonzaga/mercer, Miami/texas southern, Indiana/Robert morris

lunardi must've forgot texas southern got an rpi ban so they're ineligible for the tourney

osirus i screwed up it was kansas. I'd give northeastern the best chance

Don't see a 1-16 but the 5-12 and 4-13 games will be brutal this tournament. Also at least one 2–15 and 3-14 to fall.

Boy I would hate to run into RMU as a 16. Great rebounding and body control, great coach, and can shoot the 3 ball. They could beat all 4 # 1's

And yet you will still see ppl crying about how much the higher seed lost because it's a "shocker". I don't make predictions
