Marist -9 over Dartmouth ***
Red Foxes are home tonite and have Pascarelli who can't miss in Poughkeepsie . He was one of the best NYC players in the Catholic league when he played for St Francis Prep ,was an MVP in their HS tourney. He loves Mann Field house where he shoots 3's { 40-86} The only other player in Mann fieldhouse who shot better was Laroi Martin who shot 7 threes in the upset of of Bridgehamton knew the gym defending state HS champions. Laroi was my 3 pt shooter and worked summer camp at Marist as a councilor. He was the only HS kid that was allowed to be a councilor and work for Maggaritty the Marist coach. He also was hired there to be a dishwasher because NCAA rules didn't allow him to be called a councilor But at night all the councilors all college players scrimmaged and that's where Laroi " scoped the gym and knew it well. Who knew the following year Section 9 Hudson Valley got home county bye and got to play the Long Island Champions and defending state Champions . They had just upset the Hempstead the Long Island A champions . at Nassue Coliseum two nights before The coach John Niles kept telling his player on the bus ride to Poughkeepsie just because we beat Hempstead we still have to beat SL to make the final 4 in Glen Falls . Lets not over look them because they have all black players many from NYC and play tough defense and play a gimmick defesne " box and one" . Well we upset them and Laroi hit 7 three pointers and at that time it was a NY state HS record.
Not living near Pouhkeepsie any more and think Pascareli knows the gym tonite and think the Green Wave are in trouble.
