Detroit gets a boost with Holman back. He had 21 points coming off the bench in last game with limited minutes. He will no doubt make a difference in this game. The 14 point spread is based off of a power ranking that does not include him. With Simon, McCallum and Holman in the game, they have 3 guys that can flat out SCORE.
Bama may come out focused after two losses. Or, maybe they start to doubt themselves, especially if they get off to a slow start. With Detroit coming in with confidence, that may happen. Detroit is still a bit thin with a few other academic suspensions and Minnerath gone for the season with a knee injury. This could be concern along with Holman not in complete basketball shape yet.
Any way you look at it, 14 is way too much. Given Bama a few for being the home team, I have this an 8 point spread. With that said, my players are
5 units Det +14, 2 units Det +8 1st half, 1 unit Det ML 1st half.
